Whether high school sweethearts or second chances at love, these couples are in it for the long haul.<\/p>\n

Superstars Faith Hill<\/strong><\/a> and Tim McGraw<\/strong><\/a> have a love story for the ages \u2014 and their chemistry is still electric<\/a> on stage after more than 20 years together. The twosome tied the knot in 1996 and went on to welcome daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey<\/a> in 1997, 1998 and 2001, respectively.<\/p>\n

While the musicians celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, McGraw looked back on his unconventional attempt<\/a> to win over Hill \u2014 which wasn\u2019t immediately successful.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had dated for a while. I actually asked her to marry me quite a few times and she kept saying no,\u201d he noted via social media in October 2021. \u201cShe said, \u2018I\u2019m not going to get involved with another country singer, it\u2019s just not going to work out.’\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cHumble and Kind\u201d singer, however, wasn\u2019t going to give up easily. He took matters into his own hands during an outdoor concert.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey had these trailer houses set up. I\u2019m getting ready to go on stage, and I had this sort of case that had this big mirror in it. She\u2019s standing there, and we\u2019re talking, and I said, \u2018Look, let\u2019s get married,’\u201d he recalled of his proposal. \u201cAnd she says, \u2018You\u2019re asking me to marry you at a country music festival in a trailer house.\u2019 And I said, \u2018Well, it\u2019s pretty apropos if you think about it.\u2019 She goes, \u2018Are you serious?\u2019 And I said, \u2018Well yeah, I\u2019m serious.’\u201d<\/p>\n
