To mark their recent 10th wedding anniversary, Chrissy Teigen<\/strong><\/a> and John Legend<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 jetted to Lake Como, Italy \u2014 where they said \u201cI do\u201d a decade earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been through so much in the past few years that they wanted to renew their vows and their commitment to each other<\/a> and do it in the place where they got married and where they spent some of the happiest days of their lives,\u201d a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly<\/em>, on newsstands now. \u201cIt [was] so special. John and Chrissy said they want to do it again in 10 years \u2014 and their friends are already marking their calendars.\u201d<\/p>\n

Teigen, 37, and Legend, 44, originally wed on September 14, 2003. They went on to welcome kids Luna, 7, Miles, 5, Esti, 8 months, and Wren, 3 months.<\/p>\n

But their love story has not been without challenges. In September 2020, the couple lost their son Jack<\/a> when the model was 20 weeks pregnant. Two years later, Teigen opened about the tragedy, revealing that the situation had become life threatening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions. It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn\u2019t either without any medical intervention,\u201d she said at the time<\/a>. \u201cLet\u2019s just call it what it was: It was an abortion\u2026 [It was] an abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the source, the loss took a toll on the couple. \u201cThe last few years have been the absolute craziest of their lives and tested them to the limit,\u201d the source explains. \u201cThey were like \u2018let\u2019s just throw a huge party [to renew our vows] and bring the joy back and forget everything at least for a few days.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
