John Lydon reduced to eating baby food-style meals as he failed to clean teeth implants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2023-09-28\" datetime=\"1695895309\" pubdate=\"\">28 September 2023<\/time>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/john-lydon\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,john-lydon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Lydon<\/a> is only able to eat baby food-style meals as his teeth are falling out.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">John Lydon is only able to eat baby food-style meals as his teeth are falling out<\/p>\n<p>The 67-year-old former Sex Pistols frontman \u2013 who is recovering from the death of wife Nora Forster aged 80 in April after an Alzheimer\u2019s battle \u2013 has admitted he is paying the ultimate price for not cleaning his gnashers over the years and is down to liquids and soft foods.<\/p>\n<p>John, aka <a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/johnny-rotten\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,johnny-rotten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johnny Rotten<\/a>, made the admission on BBC Radio 4 as he hit out at how his titanium teeth implants hadn\u2019t worked \u2013 as he failed to take care of them.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cThey\u2019re not what they\u2019re cracked up to be. They forgot to mention to me you\u2019re still supposed to brush your teeth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, bad things have happened. The gums have receded and the teeth have got nothing of substance to keep hold of.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cThat\u2019s why I\u2019m gritting my teeth when I speak. And I can\u2019t chew hard things, and I shouldn\u2019t anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nAsked during his radio chat if he was on liquid meals, John admitted: \u201cYes!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\nJohn told the Daily Telegraph he had spent \u00a318,000 fixing his decaying teeth, saying: \u201cIt wasn\u2019t vanity that sent me to the dentist. All those rotten teeth were seriously beginning to corrupt my system. I was feeling incredibly ill.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cI was permanently poisoning myself with gum infections. My gums were receding and I was starting to look seriously weird.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nHe added at the time: \u201cI\u2019m 52 and I need to survive the next 52 years. So, I don\u2019t lead a madly healthy lifestyle, but it\u2019s not bad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nJohn recently said on the \u2018XS Noize\u2019 podcast he has kicked drink in honour of his late wife.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe said: \u201cThere was three months of non-stop drinking and I wasn\u2019t getting drunk and it wasn\u2019t helping push the sadness away, and I stopped.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cThat was hell.
