Debbie Aguero<\/strong> thinks her son, Julian<\/strong>, would be \u201chighly suspect\u201d if she had a friendship with her ex Oussama Berber<\/strong> \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t mean the men are still feuding.<\/p>\n

Debbie, 67, gave Us Weekly<\/em> an exclusive update on her son\u2019s relationship with Oussama, 24, after the pair had an explosive fight on the 90 Day Fianc\u00e9: The Other Way<\/em><\/a> season 4 tell-all, which aired in May.<\/p>\n

\u201cOussama reached out to Julian and called Julian stating that he loved me [and] was after my best interest,\u201d Debbie recalled to Us<\/em> on Tuesday, September 26, while promoting season 10 of 90 Day Fianc\u00e9<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd then Julian called me and said, \u2018Mom, I think Oussama really loves you.\u2019 And I\u2019m saying to myself, \u2018Well, how can that be? He\u2019s got an odd way of showing it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Debbie noted that her son is a \u201cforgiving person\u201d and has therefore made amends with Oussama despite their differences. (Debbie and Oussama called it quits on season 4 of The Other Way<\/em><\/a> after Debbie planned to marry Oussama in Morocco but he revealed he wanted to live in the U.S.)<\/p>\n

\u201cMy son is like me. He\u2019s got a big heart,\u201d Debbie explained. \u201cHe even offered, \u2018Mom, we can send money over there occasionally to help with feeding the animals or if someone\u2019s got dentist bills or something?\u2019 So, he was on board and I was proud of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TLC personality pointed out that Julian \u201cdidn\u2019t make straight A\u2019s\u201d in school, which his father would \u201cscream and bitch about.\u201d However, Debbie was never concerned by it. \u201cI said, \u2018Julian, it\u2019s more important to be a good person than to make straight A\u2019s.\u2019 So, I\u2019m very proud of my son,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re lucky my mom even gave you a second of her life,\u201d Julian said on the tell-all<\/a>, yelling at Oussama for his actions. \u201c[You\u2019re] trying to use people. Coming over here for green cards. Quit preying off elderly women who look like they\u2019re vulnerable. Get a job!\u201d<\/p>\n

Debbie, meanwhile, told Us<\/em> on Tuesday that she had \u201calways wished for that happily ever after\u201d with Oussama. After being \u201churt\u201d and \u201cburned\u201d by him, however, she revealed there was no going back.<\/p>\n

\u201cI became very sensitive. It\u2019s like, \u2018You broke the trust and there\u2019s nothing you can really do. I want you to have a wonderful future with someone that\u2019s age-appropriate and \u2026 someone you\u2019re willing to stand up for and fight for,\u2019\u201d Debbie confessed to Us<\/em>. \u201cBut he wasn\u2019t willing to do that for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Oussama\u2019s efforts to reconnect after the tell-all, Debbie told Us<\/em> she has successfully cut off all contact. \u201cProbably about a month ago [we last spoke], and he was apologizing profusely, and we said, \u2018OK, this is it. We\u2019re splitting, no more communication,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd for the first time in several years, he has honored that.\u201d<\/p>\n
