The sitcom, created by Dan Harmon, aired its first five seasons on NBC from 2009 to 2014. Chase went on to state that although he \u201cdidn\u2019t mind\u201d his character, he \u201cfelt happier being alone.\u201d He explained: \u201cI just didn\u2019t want to be surrounded by that table, every day, with those people. It was too much.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comedian exited the series in 2012 after he allegedly using a racial slur on set<\/a>, after which he \u201capologized immediately\u201d to his costars, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> reported at the time.
