They said: \u201cTory is scared for his life and safety in prison. He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status. <\/p>\n
\u201cHis family is concerned for him as well, especially his dad. He has been in contact with his family, and they are all trying to keep his spirits up. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe definitely had his moments where he has teared up (and is) realising who his real friends are.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nTMZ has reported the rapper is being held in \u2018Administrative Segregation\u2019 because of his high-profile status, which keeps him largely apart from other inmates. <\/p>\n
\nThe outlet said he is \u201cescorted to the showers where he bathes by himself,\u201d and, \u201cif he chooses to spend time in the yard, he\u2019ll be the only one in the fenced-off area\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nAn insider added about him being vulnerable to possible attacks: \u201cHe stands in at 5ft 3in, so his size is definitely a setback. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe is housed with real hardcore criminals, murderers. So he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nLanez pleaded not guilty to three felony charges in December, including assault with a semi-automatic firearm as well as carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. <\/p>\n
\nHe also said in an Instagram post in August: \u201cI have never let a hard time intimidate me. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI will never let no jail time eliminate me. Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIn no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I\u2019m being wrongfully convicted of.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nLanez has vowed that he\u2019ll continue to fight the case, posting: \u201cI refuse to apologize for something that I did not do. I\u2019ve faced adversity my whole life, and every time it looked like I would lose, I came out on top. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThis is nothing but another moment where my back is against the wall, and I refuse to stop fighting till I come out victorious. Tough times don\u2019t last, but people do.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nMegan \u2013 real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete \u2013 give a victim impact statement in the case that said: \u201cHe not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma\u2026 he tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
