Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/b><\/a> reflected on the aftermath of her split from ex-fianc\u00e9 <\/span>Jason Tartick<\/b><\/a> and claimed he \u201cdidn\u2019t protect\u201d her from haters online.<\/p>\n \u201cWe talked about protecting each other through it because, of course, when you go through breakups you want to have your side and someone to have their side,\u201d Kaitlyn, 38, said during the Tuesday, September 19, episode of her \u201cOff the Vine\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cTo justify it and say all these things. We really agreed on protecting each other.\u201d<\/p>\n The former Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> star added that she had an issue with Jason, 34, posting a video of himself packing his belongings into a moving truck<\/a> \u200bon August 23 following their split. Jason said that the move \u201cphysically and mentally sucks\u201d in the Instagram Reels video, which included clips of the former couple\u2019s dog \u2014 Ramen and Pinot \u2014 looking sad as he packed up the boxes.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen he was, kind of, leaning into that sad \u2014 I was like, \u2018Bro,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cIt didn\u2019t protect me because it made me look like I was taking the dogs away from him.\u201d<\/p>\n The Dancing With the Stars<\/span><\/i><\/a> champion said that it made her \u201creally sad\u201d that Jason posted the video because they\u2019ve been making their dogs a \u201cpriority\u201d after they <\/span>announced their split in August<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are both obsessed with them and we have made it very clear we\u2019re going to be sharing them,\u201d Kaitlyn added about their pets, noting that she confronted Jason about the video. \u201cThe messages I got after that were just \u2026 and he was like, \u2018Well I didn\u2019t get one message about it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n She concluded the topic by stating she assumed the public reaction to their split would \u201cbe bad,\u201d though admitted she didn\u2019t expect to receive hate. \u201cI didn\u2019t know it was going to be that bad of what people were saying to me,\u201d the former reality star added.<\/p>\n
