\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Sophia Loren<\/strong><\/a> has suffered an unfortunate fall in her home, according to a new report.<\/p>\n The 89year-old Italian acting icon has apparently fractured her femur, and a few other bones from the incident.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n According to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em>, Sophia<\/strong> apparently slipped and fell in the bathroom of her Swiss home and all of her future engagements she had planned have been cancelled.<\/p>\n The outlet says that Sophia <\/strong>\u201csustained several fractures to her hip, and a serious fracture to her femur which needed surgery.\u201d<\/p>\n Due to her age and the particular surgery on her femur to repair, there is a long rehabilitation period, and THR <\/em>says a \u201ccautious optimism\u201d is surrounding the family.<\/p>\n Sophia <\/strong>has two sons from her marriage to Carlo Ponti, who passed in 2007: the younger Carlo Ponti<\/strong> and Edoardo Ponti<\/strong>, who is married to former NCIS <\/em>star, Sasha Alexander<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Her most recent film appearance was in Netflix\u2019s The Life Ahead<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
