The comic, 48, has been accused by an ever-growing list of women of offences ranging from rape to sexual and emotional abuse since 16 September, and has now taken to Instagram to speak out about how he believes the world is in the grip of a \u201ccollaboration\u201d between international corporations and news outlets. <\/p>\n
He said in a three-minute video to his 3.8 million followers he needed fans to \u201csupport\u201d him after a \u201cextraordinary and distressing\u201d week by signing up to his shows on the $60 subscription site Rumble. <\/p>\n
Dressed in a simple white shirt without his normal jewellery, Brand said: \u201cHello there you awakening wonders. Obviously, it\u2019s been an extraordinary and distressing week and I thank you very much for your support and for questioning the information that you\u2019ve been presented with. <\/p>\n
\u201cBy now you\u2019re probably aware that the British government have asked big tech platforms to censor our online content. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cSome online platforms, have complied with that request. What you may not know is that this happens in the context of the Online Safety Bill \u2013 this is UK legislation that grants sweeping surveillance and censorship powers and is a law that has already been passed. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI also don\u2019t imagine that you\u2019ve heard of the trusted news initiative and now, as often is the case when a word like trusted is used as part of an acronym to describe an unelected body, trust is the last thing you should be offering. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe trusted news initiative is a collaboration between big tech and legacy media organisations to target, patrol, choke and shut down independent media organisations \u2013 like this one.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nSince Brand was accused of offences from rape and sexual abuse to emotional and physical abuse, YouTube have removed his ability to monetise his channel on the platform. <\/p>\n
\nHe has also been axed by his talent agency Tavistock Wood, been removed from his PR agency\u2019s site and had his upcoming book deal pulled and comedy material axed from streaming services. <\/p>\n
\nBrand added in his Friday message he was now focusing on sharing his views on the Rumble platform, and said he would be discussing his belief in global conspiracies on a show there on Monday. (25.09.23) <\/p>\n
\nHe went on to tell how he believes \u201call trusted news providers and digital platforms\u201d now \u201ccollaborate in constructing narratives \u2013 whether that\u2019s around the war or the pandemic\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nBrand added the public have to be \u201cvery cautious indeed\u201d and pleaded with his fans to follow him on Rumble as it has \u201ccommitment\u201d to \u201cindependent\u201d content. <\/p>\n
\nHe said his Rumble show would tackle \u201cdeep state and corporate collusion\u201d and how democracy has been \u201cshut down\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nBrand added he believes a \u201cmilitary industrial complex\u201d exists to \u201cenable and start wars that seem to be little more than money laundering operations\u201d \u2013 before he shared his sympathy with victims of \u201call the wars\u201d going on now. <\/p>\n
\nHe also said his Rumble show would probe how \u201cbig pharma\u201d have been able to \u201cavoid media investigation\u201d and said he\u2019d explore \u201cmedia corruption and censorship\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nBrand concluded by saying the \u201conly way we can keep or voice\u201d is to support him on Rumble, adding: \u201cKeep me and our channel independent and I need your support now more than ever, and more than I ever imagined I would.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHe concluded by saying: \u201cMore important than that is, please, stay free\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nBrand has denied all the allegations of abuse against him, saying all his past relationships were \u201cconsensual\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
