Last June, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson<\/strong> provided bombshell testimony<\/a> to the January 6 committee regarding Donald Trump<\/strong>\u2019s actions on January 6, including that he knew some of his followers were armed before they went to the Capitol, and attempted to physically assault a Secret Service agent for not letting him attend the insurrection (Trump has denied<\/a> her claims). Now, she\u2019s back with another extremely disturbing account: that former New York City mayor turned Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani<\/strong> groped her on the day of the attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Guardian<\/em> reports<\/a> that in her forthcoming memoir, Enough,<\/em> Hutchinson says that Giuliani inappropriately touched her at the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d rally where Trump delivered the speech telling his followers to \u201cfight like hell\u201d on his behalf. This is her account, per the outlet:\u00a0<\/p>\n >In her book, describing the events of January 6, the deadly culmination of Trump\u2019s attempt to overturn his defeat by Joe Biden,<\/strong> Hutchinson writes that she \u201cexperience[d] anger, bewilderment, and a creeping sense of dread that something really horrible [was] going to happen.\u201d\u00a0Describing the backstage scene at Trump\u2019s speech, she writes: \u201cI find Rudy in the back of the tent with, among others, John Eastman.<\/strong> The corners of his mouth split into a Cheshire cat smile. Waving a stack of documents, he moves towards me, like a wolf closing in on its prey.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018We have the evidence. It\u2019s all here. We\u2019re going to pull this off.\u2019 Rudy wraps one arm around my body, closing the space that was separating us. I feel his stack of documents press into the small of my back. I lower my eyes and watch his free hand reach for the hem of my blazer.\u00a0\u201c\u2018By the way,\u2019 he says, fingering the fabric, \u2018I\u2019m loving this leather jacket on you.\u2019 His hand slips under my blazer, then my skirt.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n In a statement, Ted Goodman,<\/strong> a political adviser to Giuliani, said:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s fair to ask Cassidy Hutchinson why she is just now coming out with these allegations from two and a half years ago, as part of the marketing campaign for her upcoming book release. This is a disgusting lie against Mayor Rudy Giuliani\u2014a man whose distinguished career in public service includes taking down the Mafia, cleaning up New York City and comforting the nation following September 11.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s also fair to note that this is not the first time Giuliani has been accused of such conduct. In May, one of his former employees, Noelle Dunphy,<\/strong> filed a stomach-churning\u00a0lawsuit accusing Giuliani<\/a> of numerous instances of sexual abuse, including rape, in addition to various otsher crimes. (Giuliani has denied wrongdoing.) The former mayor was also charged last month<\/a> by the Fulton County district attorney\u2019s office for attempting to overturn the election (he says he\u2019s innocent); being sued<\/a> by Dominion Voting Systems for defamation; and being sued by his former lawyer<\/a> for outstanding legal bills. In August, he was found liable<\/a> for defaming two Georgia election workers (Giuliani is awaiting trial to determine damages).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
