Lorde<\/strong><\/a> is sharing some rare insight into her life.<\/p>\n In a recent newsletter to fans, he 26-year-old \u201cGreen Light\u201d singer opened up about battling a mystery illness, revealing that she stopped taking the medication she\u2019s been on for the past decade.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe little yellow pill I took every morning for thousands of mornings since I was 15, I stopped taking it 5 days ago,\u201d Lorde<\/strong> wrote in her newsletter<\/a> shared on Wednesday (Sept. 20). \u201cGonna see how it goes.\u201d<\/p>\n The decision to stop taking the medication comes amid the ongoing health issues that she\u2019s been battling for the past year.<\/p>\n \u201cMy body is really inflamed, it\u2019s trying to tell me something and I\u2019m trying to support it but nothing seems to help and I get frustrated,\u201d Lorde<\/strong> shared. \u201cMy gut isn\u2019t working properly, my skin is worse than ever, I\u2019ve gotten sick half a dozen times.\u201d<\/p>\n Lorde<\/strong> then spoke about her relationship with her body, admitting that she feels as though she previously neglected it.<\/p>\n \u201cI realized earlier this year that listening to my body is hard for me, it\u2019s something I never really learned how to do,\u201d Lorde<\/strong> wrote. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying to teach myself that this year, but it\u2019s been hard actually, pretty confronting, has made me fully aware of all the times I ignored it or didn\u2019t give it what it needed, shamed it for a fight or flight response, took a handful of pills and pushed through.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to her health update, Lorde<\/strong> said she\u2019s \u201cliving with heartbreak again.\u201d Lorde<\/strong> has been in a relationship<\/a> with music producer Justin Warren<\/strong><\/a> since 2016.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s different but the same,\u201d Lorde<\/strong> continued. \u201cI ache all the time, I forget why and then remember. I\u2019m not trying to hide from the pain, I understand now that pain isn\u2019t something to hide from, that there\u2019s actually great beauty in moving with it.
