While select Sam\u2019s Club members have been lucky enough to spot this seasonal drop in the freezer cases <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@samsclublovers\/video\/7269943960229907755\" target=\"_blank\">earlier than expected<\/a>, the decadent dessert is finally hitting shelves nationwide this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>We got our hands on a box ahead of launch to sample. Here\u2019s everything you need to know about this fall marvel, including our honest review.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><h2>What You Should Know About Member\u2019s Mark Pumpkin Cheesecake<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>There\u2019s a reason <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekitchn.com\/sams-club-first-time-shoppers-23437055\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sam\u2019s Club Stans<\/a> keep their eyes peeled for the limited-edition pumpkin cheesecake. It\u2019s <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cw5D94Ru_on\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\">a member favorite<\/a> \u2014\u00a0and (spoiler!) for good reason. Weighing in at a whopping 4.5 pounds, the frozen dessert is part New York-style cheesecake\/part pumpkin pie, which means it\u2019s basically two desserts in one hefty box. Priced at $17.98, it serves 14 and comes pre-sliced (very convenient). According to package instructions, it should be thawed in the refrigerator \u201cfor a minimum of 24 hours\u201d (slightly less convenient) and served chilled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><h2>My Honest Review of the Member\u2019s Mark Pumpkin Cheesecake<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>Once I passed the thawing stage (note to self: always read instructions all the way through at the start), it was time to taste. A dessert this large is meant for sharing, which is exactly what I did. I set the chilled cheesecake out on a table at The Kitchn offices for all who wanted to enjoy \u2014\u00a0and, of course, provide feedback. (There is no free <s>lunch<\/s> dessert.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>As our video producer, Vixon says, \u201cthis cheesecake is heavy on the pumpkin flavor, in a good way.\u201d It combines the best of both dessert worlds \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekitchn.com\/how-to-make-pumpkin-cheesecake-237526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pumpkin cheesecake<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekitchn.com\/how-to-make-classic-pumpkin-pie-for-thanksgiving-197418\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pumpkin pie<\/a> \u2014\u00a0into one satisfying bite. One straggling taster didn\u2019t even realize the pumpkin cheesecake came from a box, questioning midway through: \u201cWait, this is <em>store-bought<\/em>?!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>True to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekitchn.com\/new-york-cheesecake-recipe-23279030\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NY-style cheesecakes<\/a> I grew up eating, this one is creamy and RICH. \u201cThough I like my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekitchn.com\/how-to-make-perfect-cheesecake-recipe-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchen-110760\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cheesecake<\/a> firmer,\u201d adds Vixon, \u201cit had a nice consistency, which you can\u2019t be mad at.\u201d (We recommend serving this immediately from the fridge and returning any uneaten slices to said fridge for optimal consistency.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Html\">\n<p>The flavor of the pumpkin-swirl is a little faint, but it\u2019s bolstered by the sliver of pumpkin-pie-esque filling that rests just above the graham cracker crust (which is both sturdy and adds a crumbly texture to the party). The denser cheesecake is also a nice contrast to the silky pumpkin filling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And if you thought for a second, those slices look a little thin, fear not! They were so filled, we had three left over after the tasting.
