Jeezy<\/strong><\/a> is getting cryptic in the middle of his divorce from Jeannie Mai<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cToo focused on who I\u2019m becoming to focus on who\u2019s not coming with me.\u00a0\u26c4\ufe0f,\u201d the musician, 45, captioned a Thursday, September 14, Instagram<\/a> carousel of photos of himself in front of a Mercedes sedan.<\/p>\n

While Jeezy did not further explain the meaning of his social media message, the post\u2019s publication date coincides with the day he filed for divorce from Mai, 44.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly\u00a0<\/i>confirmed one day later on Friday, September 15, that Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) filed on Thursday to dissolve his marriage<\/a> in the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJeezy and Jeannie Mai were married for less than three years when they decided to go their separate ways. The pair, who met in 2018, announced their engagement in April 2020. Later that year, their romance made waves when Mai revealed she couldn\u2019t wait to \u201csubmit\u201d to her new husband. \u201cIn order for us to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jeezy claimed in court documents obtained by\u00a0Us\u00a0<\/i>that their relationship is \u201cirretrievably broken\u201d with \u201cno hope for reconciliation.\u201d The rapper further noted that they are \u201ccurrently living in a bona fide state of separation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeezy \u2014 who is seeking to uphold the pair\u2019s prenuptial agreement<\/a> \u2014 also requested joint physical and legal custody of their 20-month-old daughter, Monaco<\/a>, on a \u201ctemporary and permanent basis.\u201d (Monoco is Jeezy\u2019s fourth child and his only with Mai<\/a>; he also shares three older kids from previous relationships.)<\/p>\n

Mai, for her part, has not publicly addressed the pair\u2019s breakup nor been active on social media since the separation news broke. The former Real\u00a0<\/i>host\u2019s bio still features her married name: Jeannie Mai Jenkins.<\/p>\n

Jeezy and Mai started dating in 2018, getting engaged two years later<\/a> in April 2020. Mai and Jeezy tied the knot in April 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prior to their union, Mai made headlines on an episode of\u00a0The Real\u00a0<\/i>when she revealed that she wanted to \u201csubmit\u201d to Jeezy<\/a> in their marriage.<\/p>\n
