It’s nice to have a friendship like\u00a0<\/span>Selena Gomez<\/a>\u00a0and <\/span>Taylor Swift<\/a>‘s! At Tuesday’s <\/span>MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>, the\u00a0longtime best friends spent the night cheering each other on.<\/span><\/p>\n When Gomez and Rema won the Best Afrobeats award for their song “Calm Down,” Swift was seen expressing her pride for her pal. Swift danced and waved her hands in the air as Gomez accepted her award on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n Earlier in the night, Swift\u00a0<\/span>was named the winner<\/a> of the Best Pop award. Gomez was caught on camera standing the whole time as Swift <\/span>gave her first acceptance<\/a> speech of the night.<\/span><\/p>\n Later, the besties posed together for photos. Gomez <\/span>stunned in a red gown<\/a> in the pics, while <\/span>Swift looked straight out of her\u00a0Reputation\u00a0<\/em>era<\/a> in a black dress with a thigh-high slit.<\/span><\/p>\n In one shot,\u00a0Gomez stood next to Swift, with her arms around the “Karma” singer.<\/span><\/p>\n Another photo featured the women excitedly embracing, presumably after one of Swift’s wins was announced.<\/span><\/p>\n The pop star powerhouses have been supporting each other for years. Last month,\u00a0<\/span>Gomez\u00a0spent quality time<\/a> with her little sister, Gracie, at Swift\u2019s concert. Later that same month, <\/span>Swift supported<\/a> Gomez’s new song, <\/span>“Single Soon.”<\/a><\/p>\n Swift, who is nominated for eight awards, <\/span>has already taken home<\/a> the Song of the Year trophy. She’s up for Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and more at Tuesday’s ceremony.
