Bebe Rexha<\/strong><\/a> is considering skipping the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a> due to her struggles with anxiety.<\/p>\n

Rexha, 34, took to TikTok<\/a> one day before the Tuesday, September 12, ceremony and confessed that she wasn\u2019t sure whether she\u2019d pull up to the red carpet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe VMAs are tomorrow and I am anxious AF,\u201d she said. \u201cA lot of people a lot of the time will be like, \u2018Oh, my God, I love how you\u2019re all about body positivity and confident<\/a>,\u2019 and let me tell you \u2026 right now I am not feeling so confident.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rexha continued: \u201cI am so anxious and stressed about going on the red carpet and people talking about my weight because I\u2019m not really loving myself<\/a> right now. I\u2019m not really feeling like the bad bitch that I usually am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rexha told her followers that she was \u201cvery grateful and blessed to be able to be invited to these awards shows,\u201d but she was still hesitant. \u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to go tomorrow,\u201d she said, adding that she has a \u201ccute\u201d outfit<\/a> ready for the big night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do wanna wear my dress and I do really want to go to celebrate my nomination and my friends\u2019 nominations \u2026 but I do feel like anxiety gets the best of me,\u201d she noted. Rexha asked her fans for \u201cmotivational tips or tricks\u201d to help her feel less anxious, and social media users were quick to send love in the comments section.<\/p>\n

\u201cI struggle with anxiety too Bebe. You\u2019re such an inspiration and loved by many,\u201d one fan wrote, while another added, \u201cYou\u2019ve got this, Bebe. You are you and will slay no matter the way!\u201d A third user wrote, \u201cBebe we love you so much!\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Rexha has opened up about her mental health. In May 2021, she joined the Child Mind Institute<\/a> for their Getting Better Together Campaign, sharing that she\u2019s faced \u201canxiety and depression and mental illness\u201d since she was \u201csuper young.\u201d At the time, she encouraged fans who are struggling to speak to a therapist or find other ways of coping, like \u201cworking out, meditating, talking to friends\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

Rexha has also been candid about her weight<\/a>, which fluctuates due to her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. In July, Rexha shared screenshots of body-shaming texts<\/a> seemingly sent to her by then-boyfriend Keyan Safyari<\/strong>. \u201cI always said I would be honest with you and your face was changing so I told you it was\u2026that was the conversation we were having and you asked,\u201d he allegedly wrote.<\/p>\n
