In 2007, Jamie Lynn became pregnant at 16 with her first child, daughter Maddie, whom she shares with former fianc\u00e9 Casey Aldridge. After giving birth in 2008, the teenage Nickelodeon star left her Hollywood career behind to raise Maddie near her family\u2019s home in Kentwood, Louisiana.<\/p>\n
Maddie has grown into a stunning teenager who is now taller than her mom. She\u2019s a stellar junior high school student and talented athlete. Jamie Lynn shared a photo standing next to Maddie following a May 4, 2022, honors ceremony at her school.<\/p>\n

Maddie suffered a near-fatal ATV accident in 2017 when riding an off-road vehicle at stepdad Jamie\u2019s parents\u2019 property. She somehow drove into a pond where the ATV became submerged with Maddie strapped into it.<\/p>\n
We dove in and we were able to rescue her,\u201d Jamie Lynn revealed in a May 2020 interview on\u00a0Better Together with Maria Menounos<\/a>.<\/i> \u201cWhen we were finally able to get her out of the water \u2026 and the first responders took from me, we thought she was gone. We thought we lost our daughter.\u201d She added, \u201c\u201dI\u2019ve faced my worst fear now. What else can I mess up or do wrong that will be as horrible as that? Nothing. There\u2019s nothing. God gave me the blessing of giving me my daughter back. I lost her and I got her back.\u201d<\/p>\n As of May 2023, Maddie\u2019s Instagram account lists her last name as Watson, seemingly indicating that she finally took her stepfather\u2019s last name. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
