SZA<\/a> <\/strong>isn\u2019t waiting another five years to give her fans new music.<\/p>\n

Nine months after the 33-year-old Grammy winner dropped her highly anticipated second studio album, SOS<\/em>, she revealed that the deluxe version is coming soon \u2014 and will essentially be a brand-new project. \u201cSo the deluxe is like a whole \u2018nother album,\u201d she said during the SOS<\/em> celebration event on Friday, September 8, at Brooklyn Navy Yard.<\/p>\n

The new album, however, won\u2019t be SOS [Deluxe].<\/em>\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s called Lana<\/em>. It\u2019s seven to 10 songs, and it\u2019ll be out this fall,\u201d SZA (born Sel\u00e1na Rowe)<\/strong> said, per fan footage<\/a> of the event.<\/p>\n

Those fans at the RSVP-only soir\u00e9e \u2013 which featured a brief appearance from Ice Spice<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 also got a preview of Lana<\/em>. \u201cHeads up, we don\u2019t actually have a plan,\u201d SZA explained, per People<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re just playing some songs off the deluxe, and we\u2019re just gonna play a couple of songs you already know.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cIt was really just \u2014 I just wanted to do something for free that was a vibe. \u2019Cause I was here in town. Literally, there\u2019s no other point to this whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n

SOS<\/em> arrived in December 2022, five years after her debut album, Ctrl<\/em>. Her sophomore release debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and enjoyed a non-consecutive 10-week run atop the album chart.<\/p>\n
