Pete Davidson<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s mom, Amy Davidson<\/strong><\/a>, shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Scott, a firefighter who died in the September 11, 2001<\/a> terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappiest days of my life and I didn\u2019t know it,\u201d Amy wrote alongside various throwback photos in an Instagram post<\/a> on Monday, September 11. \u201cNever forget and always be grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first image featured herself and Scott sharing a hug. Subsequent images featured Pete and his sister, Casey Davidson<\/strong><\/a>, with their late father<\/a>. Amy also included a photo of black work boots while holding Scott\u2019s photo above them.<\/p>\n

Amy\u2019s Instagram post comes one day after Pete took the stage alongside John Mulaney<\/strong><\/a> and Jon Stewart<\/strong><\/a> in Atlantic City for their \u201cJon, John & Pete\u201d tour<\/a>. During the Sunday, September 10 show, Pete noted he had that \u201cpost-rehab glow,\u201d<\/a> making light of his recent stint in treatment.<\/p>\n

In June, multiple outlets reported that he had entered a rehab facility<\/a> after struggling with PTSD and borderline personality disorder.<\/p>\n

While Pete did not make any reference to his late father on stage this weekend, the former Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> star, 29, has spoken candidly about his father\u2019s death over the years. Most recently, Pete revealed the moment he found out his father had died.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy dad told me he was going to pick me up from school on 9\/11. I got picked up by my mom. She didn\u2019t tell me what was going on for like three days,\u201d Pete recalled on an episode of the \u201cReal Ones With Jon Bernthal\u201d<\/a> podcast in March. \u201cShe kept telling me, \u2018Dad\u2019s at work,\u2019 \u2018He\u2019s coming home,\u2019 whatever. I had no idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pete\u2019s mom \u201cgrounded\u201d him and barred him from watching TV at the time. It wasn\u2019t too long before Pete inevitably heard about the World Trade Center attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen one night, I turned on the TV and I just saw my dad on the TV,\u201d he remembered. \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh, OK.\u2019 And they were like, these are all the firemen that are, like, dead<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following a brief engagement to Ariana Grande in 2018, Davidson didn\u2019t turn his back on romance. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2018 that the comedian was \u201cin a good place and he\u2019s happy,\u201d adding, \u201cHe\u2019s not in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pete said the entire experience was \u201cweird\u201d because his family didn\u2019t know that Scott had died \u201cfor, like, three weeks\u201d before it was confirmed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were finding people, you know? They were pulling people out of s\u2013t, and there was just some sort of hope,\u201d he shared. \u201cLike, it was just up and down and nobody knew how to deal with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
