Finding her zen. Ramona Singer<\/strong><\/a> opened up about life post-reality TV\u00a0<\/span>\u2014 and said she\u2019s \u201cnever been happier\u201d since her exit from the Real Housewives of New York City.<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m 60 something now, I worked hard my whole life. It\u2019s time for me just to enjoy myself,\u201d Ramona, 66, told the Daily Mail<\/em> <\/a>in an interview published on Thursday, January 26. \u201cAnd doing the show is not easy. I mean, people think it\u2019s easy. [But it\u2019s] very stressful, very stressful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The Life on the Ramona Coaster<\/em> author \u2014 who was part of RHONY<\/em> since its premiere in March 2008 alongside Bethenny Frankel<\/strong><\/a>, Alex McCord<\/strong><\/a>, Jill Zaren<\/strong><\/a>, Kelly Bensimon<\/strong><\/a> and Luann de Lesseps<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 said that she\u2019s \u201chappier\u201d and \u201ccalmer\u201d now that she can \u201ccontrol [her] own narrative.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While Ramona shared that being on the show was a \u201cgreat experience\u201d that she \u201cwouldn\u2019t trade for anything,\u201d she added that viewers were seeing a more exaggerated version of who she really is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI just knew how to create [drama],\u201d she explained. \u201cWas that the real me? Not really. Was it me on steroids? Absolutely.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The New York native announced she was leaving the Bravo series in November 2022 after Bravo exec Andy Cohen<\/strong><\/a> previously revealed plans to revamp the RHONY<\/em> with a brand new cast \u2013 and add a\u00a0<\/span>spinoff for the fan-favorite NYC Bravolebs.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI do not want to do the show any l longer.\u00a0It\u2019s not for me at this time<\/a>,\u201d the reality star told Page Six<\/em> <\/a>at the time, confirming she would not be a part of RHONY: Legacy.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n As for the new crew, the TV network confirmed during BravoCon in October 2022<\/a> that\u00a0Sai De Silva<\/strong>,\u00a0Ubah Hassan<\/strong>,\u00a0Erin Dana Lichy<\/strong>,\u00a0Lizzy Savetsky<\/strong>,\u00a0Jessel Taank<\/strong>, Jenna Lyons<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Brynn Whitfield<\/strong>\u00a0would lead season 14 of the OG series. The Legacy<\/em> cast, however, has yet to be revealed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t really want to get into specifics about specific women. Because then it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, well, he said yes to these two.\u2019 The answer is: Sonja [Morgan]<\/strong><\/a> and Luann [de Lesseps]\u00a0have been a part of the show \u2014 for Luann, from the beginning, and Sonja since season 3. So, I think, in theory, sure,\u201d the\u00a0Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/i>host, 54, told Variety<\/em> earlier this year. \u201cI could talk to you about hypothetical situations<\/a> involving a lot of people that used to be on the show. I think the good news is, that\u2019s a group that\u2019s all still in each other\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While Ramona may be moving past her time on reality TV, the 57-year-old Class With the Countess<\/em> author is more than happy to continue on with Bravo as it moves in a new direction.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI did not see that coming, but after learning about it, I was really happy about it,\u201d she exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in March 2022. \u201cI\u2019m thrilled about them bringing back the OG cast, because you can\u2019t fit a square peg into a round hole. I say that because\u00a0sometimes you bring new girls on\u00a0and they don\u2019t really fit in into your group, and I think it feels awkward.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She added: \u201cAn all-new cast and the OG cast is the perfect solution. I feel like they got that from seeing how well the Ultimate Girl Trip<\/em> works and how much the fans and people loved seeing the OGs from every franchise together. \u2026 If they\u2019ll have me back, I\u2019m totally on board, because I think it\u2019s a lot of fun to be back with all our old friends!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
