Shortly after Joe Jonas<\/strong> <\/a>filed for divorce from Sophie Turner<\/strong><\/a>, he subtly tweaked the lyrics of the Jonas Brothers<\/a> ballad that he wrote in her honor.<\/p>\n

During the Wednesday, September 6, concert<\/a> in Phoenix, Arizona, Jonas, 34, adjusted the lyrics to \u201cHesitate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be scared because I\u2019m on her side,\u201d Jonas crooned on Wednesday, per concert footage shared via X (formerly Twitter).<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHesitate,\u201d which dropped in 2019 on the band\u2019s LP Happiness Begins<\/i>, originally featured the line<\/a>, \u201cDon\u2019t be scared because I\u2019m on your side.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas all have unique fashion senses, but their concert outfits coordinate \u2014 and clash \u2014 in the best way possible. While performing in New York and Boston in August 2023, the brothers commanded [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Jonas has long been candid about how \u201cHesitate\u201d was inspired by his romance<\/a> with Turner, 27.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Hesitate\u2019 is a song I wrote. It\u2019s like my vows before I wrote my vows. It\u2019s my promise to Sophie,\u201d he said during the Jonas Brothers\u2019 2020 documentary, Chasing Happiness<\/i><\/a>. \u201cI can see in the audience when it\u2019s definitely those other people\u2019s songs. I see couples holding each other. I see somebody, that song got them through something.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cFor me, it takes me to a whole other universe, I\u2019m seeing her walk down the aisle again every time I close my eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Jonas Brothers kicked off The Tour <\/i>in August<\/a>, \u201cHesitate\u201d had a regular slot on the three-hour setlist<\/a>. Each night, Jonas would dedicate the number to Turner r<\/a>egardless of her attendance in the crowd. (The Game of Thrones <\/i><\/a>alum only attended the group\u2019s opening night in New York City on August 12 due to her filming schedule in England.)<\/p>\n

Jonas has since sung the OG lyrics on further dates of The Tour <\/i>with brothers Kevin Jonas<\/strong> <\/a>and Nick Jonas<\/strong><\/a>, including the Friday, September 8, concert in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Joe and Turner wed in 2019<\/a>, shortly before welcoming two daughters: Willa<\/a>, 3, and a second child, 14 months, whose name hasn\u2019t been publicly shared<\/a>. Us Weekly <\/i>confirmed on Tuesday, September 5 \u2014 one day before Joe\u2019s lyric swap \u2014 that he had filed for divorce<\/a> after four years of marriage. The DNCE frontman noted in his filing that their relationship was \u201cirretrievably broken.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
