Delilah Belle Hamlin<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her years-long health struggles<\/a> after previously suffering an accidental overdose.<\/p>\n Lisa Rinna<\/strong><\/a> and Harry Hamlin<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s 24-year-old daughter sparked concern after sharing a photo of an IV drip<\/a> via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 24. She later addressed the setup with a lengthy note to her followers about her ups and downs.<\/p>\n \u201cI haven\u2019t really spoken on my health lately & if you\u2019re new here you\u2019re probably confused but for the past few years I\u2019ve been struggling with autoimmune\/chronic illness issues that I\u2019ve been silently battling and overcoming,\u201d the California native wrote in a subsequent Instagram Story. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely been tough mentally alongside physically. I\u2019ve kind of kept quiet because I don\u2019t want to be put in a \u2018sick\u2019 role.\u201d<\/p>\n The model continued: \u201cI\u2019ve faced a lot, overcome a lot, and I know that I\u2019m going through this for a reason and that reason is to share what I\u2019ve gone through and what I\u2019ve learned with you.\u201d<\/p>\n Amelia Gray Hamlin<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s sister concluded her post<\/a> with an inspirational quote. \u201c\u2018When you feel as though the pressure is too much, it\u2019s because you\u2019re stronger than you think. You\u2019ll never discover how strong you really are until you face pressure that you\u2019ve never faced. It may seem unbearable, but the fact that God allowed it means you can handle it. \u2026 You will always be able to bear whatever comes your way,’\u201d the passage read.<\/p>\n Delilah previously spoke about her health<\/a> in a nearly 30-minute video uploaded via Instagram in November 2021. At the time, she revealed that she\u2019s battled Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS), Epstein-Barr virus and Encephalitis \u2014 and confessed to growing \u201cdependent\u201d on Xanax<\/a> as she tried to find answers about her illnesses.<\/p>\n \u201cI started getting really sick, I started feeling like I had the flu. I was getting migraines, I was having panic attacks \u2014 it was like my body was in constant \u2018fight or flight\u2019 mode. It was horrible. \u2026 For the panic attacks, they were so bad that I had to find a psychiatrist,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI found this guy and he \u2026 over-prescribed me.\u201d<\/p>\n Delilah went on to reveal that she suffered an accidental overdose<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t mean to at all,\u201d she said. \u201cI overdosed on this one medication called Propranolol. I took Benadryl with it and, for some reason, I ended up in the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n While reflecting on her highs and lows, Delilah described her experience<\/a> as a patient at a treatment center in Arizona \u2014 which she clarified was not a rehab clinic. After seemingly being deemed \u201ca medical risk\u201d for her seizures, she was \u201cpolitely asked to leave after three weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n Several months later, the NYU alum got candid about her sobriety<\/a> amid her health battles. Delilah revealed in a February 2022 Instagram Story that she was six months sober.<\/p>\n Delilah previously sought professional help for depression, revealing in July 2019 that she had been to rehab multiple times.
