Jimmy Fallon<\/strong><\/a> has reportedly apologized to Tonight Show<\/em><\/a> staff members in the wake of employees\u2019 allegations<\/a> that the talk show host fosters a \u201chorrible\u201d work environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s embarrassing and I feel so bad,\u201d Fallon, 48, told personnel via Zoom on Thursday, September 7, according to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201cSorry if I embarrassed you and your family and friends \u2026 I feel so bad I can\u2019t even tell you.\u201d The call took place just hours after the outlet published a bombshell report about Fallon\u2019s alleged on-set behavior.<\/p>\n

Fallon referred to showrunner Chris Miller<\/strong> \u2014 who was also on the call \u2014 as a \u201cgreat leader\u201d who will remain in his position.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want the show to be fun, [it] should be inclusive to everybody,\u201d the comedian allegedly told employees. \u201cIt should be the best show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fallon\u2019s Zoom with staff came just hours after Rolling Stone published their investigation into 16 employees\u2019 claims about the environment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em>. Of the 16 workers Rolling Stone<\/em> interviewed, 14 were former employees and two are current staffers.<\/p>\n

According to former employees, staffers would frequently joke about \u201cwanting to kill themselves\u201d because of the allegedly toxic environment. Dressing rooms were referred to as \u201ccrying rooms\u201d by staff needing a reprieve to let out their emotions.<\/p>\n

Moreover, multiple people claimed that Fallon\u2019s allegedly erratic behavior caused much contention in the workplace.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody told Jimmy, \u2018No.\u2019 \u2026 You never knew which Jimmy we were going to get and when he was going to throw a hissy fit,\u201d one former employee said. \u201cLook how many showrunners went so quickly. We know they didn\u2019t last long.\u201d Another alleged: \u201cIt was like, if Jimmy is in a bad mood, everyone\u2019s day is f\u2014ked.\u201d A third former employee voiced their disappointment at Fallon\u2019s alleged behavior. \u201cSometimes we would get nice Jimmy, but that sometimes was not a lot. It was just really, really sad to me that this really talented man created such a horrible environment for the people there,\u201d the staffer noted.<\/p>\n

NBC released a statement in response to the allegations on Thursday, though Fallon\u2019s name was not specifically mentioned.<\/p>\n
