Community Notes is an existing program for crowdsourced moderation. The Elon Musk-owned platform announced that notes by contributors attached to a video will show up in all posts with that video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNotes written on videos will automatically show on other posts containing matching videos. The launch came right after <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/05\/22\/pentagon-explosion-misinformation-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a hoax of an attack on the Pentagon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/emilybell\/status\/1663300220170403841\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ads with AI-generated images<\/a> containing false information about celebrities dying spread on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Community Notes have been <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2022\/12\/12\/twitter-begins-rolling-out-its-community-notes-feature-globally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available worldwide since last year<\/a>. Over time, X has added support for contributors from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CommunityNotes\/status\/1668978158060843008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more countries<\/a> to add context to posts. The company also added <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CommunityNotes\/status\/1687507274657406978?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helpful note accounts<\/a> in different languages such as Dutch, French, German, and Italian to highlight top contributions on different posts. Last month, it also rolled out <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CommunityNotes\/status\/1697036063045239017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a counter to show how many times an image with notes<\/a> has appeared on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>However, these notes are not always helpful or accurate. Earlier this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/logan-paul-nina-agdal-twitter-community-notes-porn-1850804222\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gizmodo<\/a> reported that a link posted in relation to debunking a rumor about Logan Paul and Nina Agdal redirected to a porn video.
