Nearly one year later, she had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/julia-louis-dreyfus-i-feel-strong-after-breast-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">successfully beaten the illness<\/a> and returned to work on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/shows\/veep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Veep<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt sounds kind of corny, but there\u2019s something about after you\u2019ve walked through something like this, which is such a crisis, to be able to help someone who\u2019s then going through,\u201d she told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/shows\/good-morning-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Good Morning America<\/em><\/a> in 2019. \u201cIt really is something that I\u2019m happy to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrities\/cynthia-nixon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cynthia Nixon<\/a><\/strong> underwent her own breast cancer battle after being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-body\/pictures\/celebrity-health-scares-20111110\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diagnosed in 2006<\/a>.
