Defying Hollywood\u2019s odds! Kevin Bacon<\/strong> <\/a>and Kyra Sedgwick<\/strong> <\/a>have been married for more than 30 years \u2014 and appear to be more in love than ever.<\/p>\n The twosome first crossed paths when Bacon, who is seven years older than Sedgwick, was doing a play in the \u201870s.<\/p>\n \u201cA little girl was in there who had just seen the matinee, and her brother said, \u2018You liked that actor, go tell him you liked him,\u2019 and it was Kyra,\u201d he recalled on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson<\/em> in 2014. \u201cShe was a little girl, yeah, she was 12 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n A decade later, the pair worked together in 1987 on the PBS film Lemon Sky.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe definitely wasn\u2019t my type,\u201d Sedgwick told Redbook<\/em><\/a> 2008. \u201cIn fact, I vividly remember looking at his butt when he walked away after we first met and thinking, \u2018Well, I guess some girls like that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Closer<\/em> actress clearly had a change of heart, marrying the Footloose<\/em> star on September 4, 1988.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we first got together, she was more the messy one. But when I left home, I was an absolute slob. I lived in a pigsty. My first apartment was a roach-filled disaster,\u201d Bacon told Glamour<\/em><\/a> in 2019. \u201cThrough the years I\u2019ve tried to get the chaos out of [my home] because my work life is chaotic. She\u2019s moved in that direction too. I still don\u2019t really like to make the bed, because we\u2019re going to get in it in another 12 hours, but she really, really likes a made bed. I\u2019ll do it, but she does a little bit more of that, and I do a little more fixing stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
