Woody Allen<\/strong><\/a> says he\u2019s open to reconnecting with daughter Dylan Farrow<\/strong><\/a> and son Ronan Farrow<\/strong><\/a>, from whom he has been estranged for years.<\/p>\n

During a Sunday, September 3, interview with Variety<\/em><\/a>, Allen, 87, was asked whether he\u2019s seen Dylan, 38, or Ronan, 35, recently. \u201cNo. Always willing to, but no,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Dylan, whom Allen adopted in 1985 with former partner Mia Farrow<\/strong><\/a>, alleged in 1992 that Allen had molested her in Mia\u2019s home in Bridgewater, Connecticut. Dylan was 7 years old at the time. Allen has repeatedly denied the claim while Dylan has continued to speak out<\/a> about the alleged abuse as an adult, including in the 2021 HBO docuseries Allen v. Farrow<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ronan also participated in the series and claimed during episode 4 that Allen would only pay for his college education if he publicly discredited Dylan\u2019s claims. \u201cThe offer always stood that if I were willing to publicly go against my mother and my sister that he would offer financial support, support for my education and perhaps a comfortable life with a powerful, influential guy,\u201d Ronan alleged.<\/p>\n

Allen and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn<\/strong><\/a>, whom Mia adopted with ex-husband Andr\u00e9 Previn prior to her relationship with Allen, spoke out against the series\u2019 claims after the first episode aired.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese documentarians had no interest in the truth. Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their enablers to put together a hatchet job riddled with falsehoods,\u201d the pair\u2019s team said in a statement, adding that the \u201callegations are categorically false.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allen shared similar sentiments during his recent Variety<\/em> interview, saying \u201cthere was nothing\u201d to the sexual abuse claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe situation has been investigated by two people, two major bodies, not people, but two major investigative bodies. And both, after long detailed investigations, concluded there was no merit to these charges<\/a>,\u201d he told the outlet.<\/p>\n

The filmmaker continued: \u201cThe fact that it lingers on always makes me think that maybe people like the idea that it lingers on. You know, maybe there\u2019s something appealing to people. But why? Why? I don\u2019t know what you can do besides having it investigated, which they did so meticulously.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile Hollywood may appear to be all glitz and glam on the surface, the industry has seen its fair share of\u00a0scandals\u00a0through the years. The\u00a0New York Times\u00a0and the\u00a0New Yorker\u00a0first published investigative pieces that accused disgruntled movie producer Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment in 2017. Soon after, Weinstein stood trial and was convicted [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When asked whether he feels like he\u2019s been \u201ccanceled,\u201d Allen, who earned a lengthy standing ovation when his film Coup de Chance<\/em> premiered at the Venice International Film Festival<\/a> on Monday, replied, \u201cI feel if you\u2019re going to be canceled, this is the culture to be canceled<\/a> by. I just find that all so silly. I don\u2019t think about it. I don\u2019t know what it means to be canceled.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Dylan and Ronan, Allen is father of son Moses, 45, whom he adopted with Mia, and daughters Bechet, 24, and Manzie, 23, whom he adopted with Previn, 52.<\/p>\n

Allen and Previn\u2019s relationship has also been a source of controversy<\/a> over the years. Although Allen claimed in his 2020 memoir, Apropos of Nothing<\/em>, that he first kissed Previn when she was a college freshman, Mia alleged in Allen v. Farrow<\/em> that the relationship began when Previn was in high school.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would be in her school uniform at lunch,\u201d Mia claimed. \u201cThey would change the bed after she left.\u201d<\/p>\n
