How I Met Your Father<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>has come to an end. On Friday, ET confirmed that the\u00a0<\/span>How I Met Mother<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>spinoff has been canceled after two seasons on Hulu.<\/span><\/p>\n How I Met Your Father\u00a0<\/span><\/em>followed Sophie, who is played by both\u00a0<\/span>Hilary Duff<\/a>\u00a0in present day and <\/span>Kim Cattrall<\/a>\u00a0in the near future. Cattrall narrates the show, telling her son what kind of antics she and her friends —\u00a0Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran) and Sid (Suraj Sharma) — got up to in their 20s, all on the road to sharing how she met his dad.<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout its two seasons,\u00a0<\/span>HIMYF\u00a0<\/span><\/em>featured two <\/span>HIMYM\u00a0<\/span><\/i>cameos —\u00a0<\/span>Neil Patrick Harris<\/a>\u00a0as Barney Stinson and\u00a0<\/span>Cobie\u00a0Smulders<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0Robin Scherbatsky. In a February interview with ET, <\/span>Duff opened up<\/a> about working with Harris, and noted that she’d like to welcome all the\u00a0<\/span>HIMYM\u00a0<\/span><\/em>alums onto the spinoff at some point.<\/span><\/p>\n “I was really nervous to work with NPH. He’s just such a stud. He’s legendary,” she told ET. “Everything he does is, if he’s hosting something or he’s got a TV show on the air or he’s doing Broadway, he’s just fantastic. And so the fact that he said yes made us really excited. And\u00a0obviously, our goal is to hopefully collect them all.”<\/span><\/p>\n
