The upcoming\u00a0Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour<\/em> concert film set a single-day sales record for AMC in just three hours after the ticket presale went live, raking in a total of $26 million in sales in one day, the theater chain announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n That beats the previous single-day sales record held by Spider-Man: No Way Home<\/em> at $16.9 million. Aside from AMC, Fandango says<\/a> that the three-hour film now sits on the site\u2019s list of the biggest first-day ticket sellers throughout its 23-year history, alongside box office giants like Avengers: Endgame<\/em> and Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cNot only is Taylor Swift\u2019s\u00a0concert film\u00a0the best first-day ticket seller of the year on Fandango, but the\u00a0concert film\u00a0is performing like the superhero she is and ranking among the best first-day ticket sellers of all time from franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics and more,\u201d Jerramy Hainline, Fandango\u2019s senior vice president, says in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n On Thursday, AMC announced that it’s bringing Swift\u2019s Eras Tour<\/em><\/a> concert film to theaters across the US, which includes some showings at IMAX and Dolby locations. To account for \u201cunprecedented demand,\u201d AMC says it\u2019s adding additional showtimes \u201cwhere necessary and available.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Since AMC is also working as a distributor of the film, Deadline<\/em> reports<\/a> that it will also be shown at other theaters like Regal, Cinemark, and Harkins.
