Netflix has come under fire for claims that Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> contestants faced mistreatment while filming the reality show, but season 4 couple Tiffany Pennywell<\/strong><\/a> and Brett Brown<\/strong> <\/a>have nothing but good things to say about their experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like all the producers that I worked with were very positive,\u201d Brett exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Friday, September 1, while promoting season 4 of Love Is Blind: After the Altar<\/em>, which premiered the same day. \u201cI felt like [they] had my back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tiffany, who exchanged vows with Brett during season 4, echoed her husband\u2019s sentiments. She recalled a producer reassuring her when she \u201cbecame overwhelmed\u201d on her wedding day<\/a> because she \u201cwasn\u2019t happy [with] her dress\u201d and was feeling the pressure of knowing that I have to make a big decision.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201c[The producer] pulled me to the side. She\u2019s like, \u2018My job is over with. This is about you. You don\u2019t worry about them. You don\u2019t worry about making anybody else happy. This is your decision. \u2026 I\u2019m going to be here until you are happy with whatever you decide you want to do.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Tiffany said that the moment \u201cmeant a lot to her\u201d because it \u201cshowed me that she was truly looking out for me and she [was a] true friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Tiffany and Brett sang production\u2019s praises, other Love Is Blind<\/em> alums<\/a> don\u2019t have the same warm and fuzzy feelings about their time on the series. In April, Business Insider<\/em><\/a> published a report that featured multiple contestants claiming they were mistreated while filming the Netflix hit.<\/p>\n

Season 2 star Danielle Ruhl<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who wed Nick Thompson<\/strong><\/a> during the 2022 season before the pair split<\/a> later that year \u2014 told the outlet that she had issues with production while in Mexico. She claimed that she began having a panic attack after producers barred her from attending an event for all the couples because there was a chance she\u2019d contracted COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Danielle then allegedly hid in the closet to avoid cameras and told producers she didn\u2019t feel mentally stable enough to continue with the show. \u201cI kept telling them, \u2018I don\u2019t trust myself. I\u2019ve tried committing suicide before,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201c\u2019I\u2019m having suicidal thoughts. I don\u2019t think I can continue in this.\u2019\u201d Danielle claimed that production persuaded her to stay despite her expressing that she was experiencing suicidal ideation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSo messy! While the premise of Netflix\u2019s\u00a0Love Is Blind\u00a0is to help singles find their perfect match, the experiment hasn\u2019t come without drama. During season 2 of the dating show, which premiered in February 2022, multiple love triangles blossomed. In one corner, Shayne Jansen connected with both Natalie Lee and Shaina Hurley, and in another, Jarrette [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Danielle also claimed that there wasn\u2019t enough food for contestants during the pods phase of the show. \u201cI remember every time we\u2019d get to the freaking kitchen, there\u2019d be, like, one hard-boiled egg and it was a fight to see who could actually get the stuff,\u201d she alleged.<\/p>\n

Danielle Drouin<\/strong>, whose engagement to Rory Newbrough<\/strong> didn\u2019t make it onto the show when she appeared on the debut season in 2020, claimed that long shooting hours made sleep hard to come by. \u201cThe sleep deprivation was real,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel like they do it on purpose because they\u2019re trying to break you. Love Is Blind<\/em>\u2019s production company, Kinetic Content, released a statement responding to the report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe well-being of our participants is of paramount importance to Kinetic,\u201d the statement read. \u201cWe have rigorous protocols in place to care for each person before, during, and after filming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the controversy surrounding the show<\/a>, Tiffany only has one \u201csmall\u201d regret about participating in the social experiment \u2014 she wishes she could\u2019ve had a bigger bachelorette party.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such a short timeline, and because you have this dream of what you want the festivities leading up to your wedding day to look like, I wish I would\u2019ve had all of my friends there, but they\u2019re scattered all over the country [and] can\u2019t fly in a moment\u2019s notice,\u201d she explained. \u201cSo, I wish I could have celebrated with those ones that have been by my side for years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the minor setback, Tiffany told Us<\/em> that she got the \u201cbest possible outcome\u201d from Love Is Blind<\/em>. \u201cI got this handsome man,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
