Over the years, several former Bachelor<\/em><\/a> and Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> contestants have tragically died after competing on the show.<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed in April 2014 that Eric Hill, who appeared on season 10 of The Bachelorette,<\/em> passed away at the age of 26<\/a> after part of his parachute collapsed while he was paragliding in Utah. The accident happened when Andi Dorfman<\/strong><\/a> was still filming the season.<\/p>\n Dorfman learned of his passing on a July 2014 episode. \u201cAs tough as it is, I\u2019m glad were all doing this together,\u201d she told then-host Chris Harrison<\/strong> and her final four suitors<\/a> at the time. \u201cIt just puts in perspective all of this \u2014 there\u2019s so much more to all of this. There\u2019s life, people have lives here.\u201d<\/p>\n Tyler Gwozdz, who competed on Hannah Brown<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s season 15 of The Bachelorette<\/em>, passed away in January 2020<\/a> after being rushed to a Florida hospital for a suspected overdose. \u201cWe are heartbroken to hear the tragic news of Tyler\u2019s passing today,\u201d the ABC producers said in a statement<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n
