On the latest Sister Wives<\/em><\/a> episode, Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a> took ownership \u2014 at least in part \u2014 for the unraveling of his family after his split from Christine Brown<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI made the mistake of not managing my family properly and Christine has left,\u201d Kody, 54, said on the Sunday, August 27, episode<\/a>, referring to his November 2021 breakup with Christine<\/a>, 51.<\/p>\n

Kody reflected on his family\u2019s ups and downs while celebrating Thanksgiving with Meri Brown<\/strong><\/a> and Robyn Brown<\/strong><\/a> along with Robyn\u2019s five children. Christine and Janelle Brown<\/strong><\/a> opted to share the holiday with their own kids \u2014 at separate homes.<\/p>\n

\u201cJanelle has decided, because we\u2019re not in the greatest place, that she\u2019d rather hang out with Christine,\u201d Kody told the cameras, confessing, \u201cWe\u2019re not working like a family. We\u2019re not a family. We\u2019re acting like enemies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKody Brown\u2019s relationships with Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown and Robyn Brown have all had their ups and downs \u2014 but many Sister Wives viewers were shocked when nearly all his wives started to leave him. TLC fans were introduced to the Brown family in 2010 when he was legally married to Meri and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Janelle, 54, argued in her own confessional that there was a \u201chuge looming problem\u201d surrounding Kody and their six kids \u2014 mainly sons Garrison, 25, and Gabe, 21, \u2014 that kept her from being at the big Thanksgiving feast<\/a>. (Viewers previously saw Janelle and Kody feud over Gabe and Garrison\u2019s alleged disrespect toward Kody and Robyn, 44, on season 17 of Sister Wives<\/em> after they had differing opinions about their dad\u2019s COVID rules<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI basically told the kids what their dad was requiring of them to come to Thanksgiving. I delivered the facts. I delivered what he said,\u201d Janelle quipped, speaking about Kody\u2019s desire for an apology<\/a> from his and Janelle\u2019s boys before the holiday season. \u201cHe needs to do something here. He\u2019s the head of the family. He wants to be the patriarch. This is part of that role.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christine, meanwhile, told the cameras that her split from Kody was a long time coming. She insisted that her choice to forgo the family dinner was a result of years of issues. \u201cOur family has been hurting for a long time. We\u2019ve done our best to be as OK as possible. But there\u2019s still hurt feelings from 12 years ago,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s at a breaking point. Sorry, it\u2019s just at a breaking point.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMaking the holiday their own. The stars of Sister Wives including Christine Brown and Janelle Brown celebrated Thanksgiving 2022 individually \u2014 and documented the festivities on social media. Days before the holiday, Christine, 50, announced that her daughter Mykelti Brown welcomed twin boys with husband Antonio \u201cTony\u201d Padron. \u201cSo obsessed with these new grandsons!! What [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Kody claimed that the \u201cbig shakeup wasn\u2019t caused by Robyn\u201d joining the family, the tension between all the wives seemingly started when he legally married her in 2014. He argued \u201cgoing public\u201d started the drama.<\/p>\n

Robyn expressed sadness over Christine and Janelle splitting off<\/a> from the group for the second year in a row. \u201cWe\u2019re all separated. My three older kids when I told them we\u2019re going to be separated at Thanksgiving again, they dealt with feelings of rejection,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n

Kody felt similarly<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of offense, a lot of struggle, a lot of heartache. I don\u2019t know what to do about it,\u201d he said in a confessional. \u201cI hope I can get these things straightened out and just find peace and love with my family. Everything\u2019s changing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite being frustrated by their Thanksgiving plans, Kody said he was \u201cat peace\u201d with the group he ate with. \u201cI\u2019m surrounded by people who are not offended by me,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Meri, 52, also weighed in on the separate holiday celebrations<\/a>, saying, \u201cI\u2019m just sad about it. Our holidays are not a big family function like they used to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
