Miley Cyrus<\/a> has opened up about her strained relationship with her father, amid reports of a toxic family feud.<\/p>\n

‘My dad grew up the opposite of me’: Miley Cyrus opens up on differences between her and father Billy Ray Cyrus<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old singer has reportedly grown distant from her Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a>, following his split from her mother Tish Cyrus and his engagement to singer Firerose, and Miley has reflected on the different ways fame has affected them both.<\/p>\n

Speaking on her Disney+ special, ‘Miley Cyrus<\/a> \u2012 Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions)’, she said: “My dad grew up the opposite of me. I grew up on a sound stage, like, in a house with a family that was super close and all lived under the same roof.<\/p>\n

“And I grew up financially stable and emotionally stable, I think, in my relationships also.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s something that my dad didn\u2019t have. I\u2019ve seen how that affects a lot of people that go from having nothing to everything. It\u2019s a really dangerous place.”<\/p>\n

\nMiley – who has just released the new single ‘Used To Be Young’ – added that her father gets impacted emotionally by his audience and relies on them to heal the wounds of his childhood.<\/p>\n

\nShe explained: “I think that\u2019s where me and my dad\u2019s relationship to fame and success is wildly different.<\/p>\n

\n“Him feeling loved by a big audience impacted him emotionally more than it ever could me.<\/p>\n

\n“When he feels special or important, it\u2019s like healing a childhood wound, and I\u2019ve always been made to feel like a star.<\/p>\n

\n“It makes me emotional. So, I think that\u2019s the difference.”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Miley is said to be “frustrated” over the ongoing feud between her siblings, Noah and Braison Cyrus, and her newlywed mom Tish – who recently tied the knot with actor Dominic Purcell.<\/p>\n

\nA source told The Sun newspaper: “Miley\u2019s family are completely divided and it\u2019s a really sad situation. She is being very adult in it, but has found it very frustrating.<\/p>\n

\n“It seems like madness to not go to your own mother\u2019s wedding, but she was proud to be there to support her.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cThe kids have sided with either their mum or their dad and there\u2019s not a lot of communication between them.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIt has been worsening for the past year and it doesn\u2019t look like there\u2019s an end in sight.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
