Before and after. Meghan King<\/strong><\/a> stood by her choice to have plastic surgery \u2014 and offered a glimpse at the recovery.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI guess it\u2019s easier to stay true to my #filterfree2023 commitment when I recently made some surgical and non-surgical \u2018filter\u2019 adjustments,\u201d the former reality star, 38, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, January 18. \u201cI\u2019ve always been outspoken about any enhancements I\u2019ve had (this time I wanted the fullness in my breasts back and a little cleavage, and since I was under anesthesia I opted to tweak the tip of my nose for a minor adjustment).\u201d<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Orange County<\/em><\/a> alum uploaded \u201cthirst trap\u201d photos before and after of her procedure<\/a>, adding, \u201cMy chest is so wide so it always made me feel masculine on the outside but I felt so feminine on the inside and so decided to do this thing called \u2018cosmetic enhancing\u2019 \ud83d\ude09.\u201d<\/p>\n

King also noted that she was proud of her decision<\/a> to go under the knife. \u201cI ask myself if that aligns with the message of authenticity I want to always send and my answer is, yes, I think it does,\u201d she continued. \u201cBecause living authentically doesn\u2019t have to make sense to others, my mind is allowed to change and I\u2019m allowed to change.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the Bravo star, going through plastic surgery has helped her work through her own body issues.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI like feeling confident but I\u2019m my biggest critic,\u201d the Missouri native, who shares daughter Aspen, 5, and twins Hart and Hayes, 4,<\/a> with ex-husband Jim Edmonds<\/strong><\/a>, wrote. \u201cI\u2019d love to look at my body and say, \u2018Wow, you\u2019re beautiful just the way you are,\u2019 and now, with the help of a breast implant exchange, a teeny rhino, and some Sculptra to keep my face plump, I do.\u201d<\/p>\n

King concluded: \u201cPlus look at that body! Can you believe it bore 3 kids and gained 70 lbs? Check out that hernia! I earned that! Diastasis! Shall we compare birth stories?!\u2014\u2014- The point is not that we judge one another for supposed inconsistencies, but celebrate their authenticity to themself. YOU. ME. We are our OWN bosses, we run our OWN shows, and we report to OURSELVES.\u201d<\/p>\n

The TV personality previously opened up about her concerns before having surgery on her nose and chest.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m feeling ready,\u201d she said in a September 2022 Instagram clip, which was taken the morning of her procedure. \u201cI just don\u2019t want to look too different. That\u2019s where my anxiety\u2019s coming from right now. I don\u2019t want my boobs to look so big that I look like I\u2019m bigger than I am. \u2026 I\u2019m feeling sentimental, pensive. \u201cI got this. I\u2019m alone for a lot of things. It\u2019s just another thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

That same month, King gushed about the final results, exclusively telling Us Weekly<\/em>, \u201cDr. Niccole is an artist! I totally felt at ease and came out looking like a natural, enhanced version of myself, which is what I wanted! Props to Cosmeticare!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
