On August 12, Nick<\/strong><\/a>, Joe<\/strong><\/a> and Kevin Jonas<\/strong><\/a> (a.k.a the Jonas Brothers<\/a>) kicked off their massive world tour consisting of 94 shows, a 67-song setlist and surprise cameos (Jimmy Fallon<\/strong><\/a> hit the stage at the August 13 gig at Yankee Stadium in New York City). \u201cTonight is a celebration of the journey we\u2019ve been on for the last 18 years,\u201d Nick wrote on Instagram hours before the show began.<\/p>\n For a time, it was hard to believe the New Jersey\u2013born siblings would ever sing together again, let alone be back on the road selling out venues across the U.S. But 10 years after tension and in-fighting caused the group to split \u2014 in 2013 they announced they\u2019d broken up due to a \u201cdeep rift within the band\u201d \u2014 Kevin, 35, Joe, 34, and Nick, 30, are now tighter than ever. \u201cThat break really allowed them to take a big step back and work through their issues,\u201d a source tells Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cIt brought a whole new dynamic to the group, and they\u2019re all so much happier.\u201d<\/p>\n Joe and Kevin were thrown for a loop when Nick told the band he wanted out two days before they were scheduled to go on tour in late 2013. \u201cI said, \u2018You know, I feel like the Jonas Brothers should be no more, and we should go on individual journeys,\u2019\u201d he recalled. \u201cAnd it didn\u2019t go so well.\u201d The brothers \u2014 who shot to fame in the late 2000s with songs like \u201cBurnin\u2019 Up!\u201d and their hit Disney film, Camp Rock<\/em> \u2014 stopped speaking. \u201cIt left the family shaken up for a while,\u201d Nick recently said.<\/p>\n Unwilling to give up on their bond, the trio finally sought professional help. \u201cWe literally spent a year basically doing therapy, working through some things,\u201d Nick has said. Their parents were a major force in getting them talking again (they also have a fourth son, Frankie, 22). \u201cIt hurt them a lot to see that the boys weren\u2019t getting along,\u201d says the source, adding, \u201cNick, Joe and Kevin needed some time apart, but they also felt lost and lonely without each other.\u201d<\/p>\n Jealousy was also an issue. Kevin, and his wife Danielle Deleasa<\/strong><\/a>, the first to wed and have kids, have admitted to feeling \u201cless than\u201d Nick and Joe and their famous spouses, Priyanka Chopra<\/strong><\/a> and Sophie Turner<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a love-hate,\u201d Danielle once said of being compared to the actresses, to which Kevin replied, \u201cI feel the same way with Nick and Joe, right? Like [they have] solo careers, movies, all this stuff.\u201d Unlike his brothers, he spent his hiatus flipping houses.<\/p>\n It took working on 2019\u2019s documentary Chasing Happiness<\/em> to get the band back together. \u201cWe got a do-over,\u201d Joe said at the time, \u201cand I think this time around we\u2019re going to do it right.\u201d<\/p>\n In the years since, the brothers\u2019 bond has strengthened as they went on to have families of their own \u2014 Kevin shares Alena, 9, and Valentina, 6, with Danielle; Joe and Sophie are parents<\/a> to Willa, 3, and a second daughter, 1; and Nick and Priyanka are parents to Malti<\/a>, 19 months. \u201cWe\u2019re all fathers now,\u201d Joe explained. \u201cBefore, one of us was going through something that the other could simply not connect\u2026 This time around, we\u2019re actually able to work together quite well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\nTorn Apart<\/h2>\n
