The development of Marvel<\/em>\u2019s Avengers is coming to a close. In a blog post<\/a>, developer Crystal Dynamics announced that the game won\u2019t receive any new updates after March 31st, with support ending on September 30th (via IGN<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While you\u2019ll still be able to play the game in both single-player and multiplayer mode, Crystal Dynamics says it \u201ccan\u2019t guarantee that we will be able to address issues that occur\u201d after support ends. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The last \u2014 and final \u2014 balance update will take place in March, and from then on, all cosmetics, including \u201cevery Outfit, Takedown, and Nameplate\u201d will be available for free and without the purchase of credits. Any remaining credits \u201cwill be converted into in-game resources,\u201d Crystal Dynamics says. It also provides a chart for the types and number of resources you\u2019ll get based on the credits you have, which you can see below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Over the years, Crystal Dynamics added more characters to its lineup, including Black Panther<\/a>, The Mighty Thor, and Kate Bishop. Marvel\u2019s Avengers\u2019<\/em> last update took place in November and saw the addition of the\u00a0Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat mission and the Winter Soldier. Unfortunately, Crystal Dynamics says Spider-Man will remain a PlayStation exclusive<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe know this is disappointing news as everyone in our community has such a connection to these characters and their stories,\u201d Crystal Dynamics\u2019 post reads. \u201cWe\u2019re so, so grateful that you came on this adventure with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While users will still be able to purchase used physical copies of Marvel\u2019s Avengers<\/em> for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X\/S, and Xbox One after September 30th, the game will no longer be available for purchase online. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
