Bachelor Nation<\/a> fan favorites are headed back to Mexico for\u00a0Bachelor in Paradise<\/em><\/a> season 9.<\/p>\n A whole new batch of\u00a0Bachelor<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> alums are set to spend summer 2023 at Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico<\/a>, for a second (third for some) chance at love.<\/p>\n Are there possible engagements on the horizon? Some of the hopeful singles have already shared they\u2019re falling for each other!\n<\/p>\n Yes, the fan-favorite Bachelor Nation spinoff series is set to return for a ninth season.<\/p>\n Last year, during season 8, two couples left the beach engaged<\/a>, Victoria Fuller<\/strong><\/a> and Johnny DePhillipo<\/strong><\/a> and Brandon Jones<\/strong><\/a> and Serene Russell<\/strong><\/a>. Both have since called it quits since their romantic proposals aired.<\/p>\n ABC has yet to announce a full cast just yet. However, a few casting decisions have dropped along with the official trailer. For instance, Brayden Bowers<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from Charity Lawson<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s current Bachelorette\u00a0<\/em>season will make an appearance on the beach.<\/p>\n Brayden, the villain of Charity\u2019s season, is confirmed to appear on Paradise and will embark on a love journey with Kat Izzo<\/strong> from Zach Shallcross<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 season of The Bachelor<\/em>.<\/p>\n Host Jesse Palmer<\/strong><\/a> shared a short clip of the spinoff\u2019s upcoming season during the Men Tell All<\/em> episode on August 14, giving fans a taste of what to expect this upcoming season.<\/p>\n In the footage, Kat admits that she \u201cloves\u201d Bayden\u2019s \u201cgolden retriever energy,\u201d while he claimed he \u201ccan see spending\u201d his \u201clife with\u201d the fellow registered nurse.<\/p>\n Former\u00a0Bachelorette<\/em> star Rachel Recchia<\/strong><\/a> has also been confirmed to hit the beach after months of speculation. This is crazy getting a second chance,\u201d she said in the season 9 trailer, appearing to kiss season 19 contestant Jordan Vandergriff <\/strong>oncamera.\u00a0\u201cI think things happen for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about appearing in Mexico before her casting was confirmed, the former Bachelorette was cagey with the details. \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d Rachel teased while appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong>\u2018s \u201cOff the Vine\u201d podcast<\/a> in April 2023 alongside her real-life roommate, Genevieve Parisi<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cSomething to think about in the future. Maybe. I mean, I\u2019m still in the same spot. So, who knows.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cIf I ever went to Paradise<\/em>, I would have to go down just like completely open-minded. I would have to really go down and be like I\u2019m [going to] talk to whoever and give them a chance \u2026 even though everyone there would probably [already be] my ex-boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n Rachel left her season of\u00a0The Bachelorette<\/em> engaged to Tino Franco<\/a><\/strong>. They split before the season 19 finale aired after admitted to cheating on her<\/a> amid their engagement. If she heads to the beach, Rachel could possibly be reunited with her runner-up, Aven Jones,<\/strong> who reportedly will be traveling to Mexico for the summer, too. Will these two pick up where they left off? Eager franchise fans will have to wait and see.<\/p>\n Some stars have confirmed that they won\u2019t be hitting the beach, however, including former lead Clayton Echard<\/strong><\/a>. And, despite telling Instagram followers that \u201cenough leads\u201d were heading to Mexico, Katie Thurston<\/strong><\/a> will make a surprise appearance alongside former fianc\u00e9 Blake Moynes<\/strong><\/a>, who is also looking for another shot at love.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t think Blake\u2019s going to be happy I\u2019m here,\u201d Katie is heard saying in the season 9 trailer, to which Blake quipped, \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s a worse scenario.\u201d<\/p>\n Jesse will return to the beach to host the show once again and exclusively told Life & Style<\/em> that possible \u201clove squares\u201d will form<\/a> on the white sand beach.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has been a very active beach \u2013 lots of movement. I think there were times last season where couples established really early and then [contestants] just rode the season through this year. There\u2019s a lot of this going on,\u201d the retired NFL star told Life & Style<\/em> in June. \u201cI would have a board with faces and a marker and, and that you can erase and just every week you\u2019re gonna have to reshuffle your board because it\u2019s a lot to keep track of.\u201d<\/p>\n The upcoming season will premiere on Thursday, September 28, from 9-11 p.m. ET.
