While shutting down criticism of her weight, Alabama Barker<\/strong><\/a> opened up about her battle with an autoimmune condition<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 17-year-old clapped back at body-shamers<\/a> in a TikTok video<\/a> after recently being spotted out with stepmom Kourtney Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>, who is pregnant<\/a> with her first baby with Travis Barker<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Alabama started off by looking into the camera with a blank expression on her face, teasing, \u201cThat\u2019s my face when I see all the fake pages commenting about my weight and paparazzi pictures saying I\u2019m a catfish or saying I\u2019m fat.\u201d<\/p>\n As the video continued, Alabama explained what it\u2019s been like for her to grow up in the public eye<\/a> and face the scrutiny of the internet. \u201cI would love to see you guys getting random pictures taken of you when you\u2019re leaving the grocery store, [speaking in] the middle of a sentence and your mouth wide open and let\u2019s see how beautiful you look,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Alabama also acknowledged that there are some factors contributing to her changing weight<\/a> that are outside of her control, such as \u201ca thyroid problem and autoimmune disease.\u201d She did not go into the specifics of her health challenges, but noted they are \u201cone of the main reasons\u201d she\u2019s gained weight.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be very appreciated if you guys just keep your opinions to yourself. It\u2019ll get you further in life,\u201d she continued, adding that she\u2019ll return to her \u201cnormal weight\u201d when her thyroid and other conditions are \u201cbalanced.\u201d<\/p>\n Travis and Shanna Moakler<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s daughter also pointed out that she hasn\u2019t \u201cgained 1,000 pounds\u201d despite the rampant criticism<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s like 5-10 pounds, which is so normal for a lot of girls,\u201d she said. \u201cWeight fluctuates and I don\u2019t want any girls that are young [and] watching this that are gaining weight to ever think there\u2019s something wrong with it. \u2026 I would appreciate if you guys put yourself in my shoes.\u201d<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the first time Alabama has taken aim at trolls<\/a> in recent months. In April, she clapped back at unkind comments about her makeup technique.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen Kathryn with 3 kids, only waterline liner, 4 different colored blonde [hair] & Toms shoes talks about my makeup or age,\u201d she wrote via TikTok as she mouthed to an audio clip that teased, \u201cI\u2019ll tell you what you look like, but you won\u2019t like it.\u201d<\/p>\n One month later, Alabama reacted to backlash after sharing a snippet of a rap song<\/a> she was working on. \u201cI\u2019m tired of people saying I don\u2019t know anything about rap music, I wasn\u2019t raised around rap music, I wasn\u2019t anything,\u201d she said in a TikTok video that has since been deleted. \u201cSo, let\u2019s take a little field day into my life because you guys know it so well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n![\"Alabama](\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Alabama-Barker-Says-Autoimmune-Disease-Is-Why-Her-Weight-Fluctuates.jpg?w=700&quality=86&strip=all\")
