Hilary Duff<\/strong><\/a> has seen the Hurricane Hilary memes and jokes, and they\u2019re so yesterday \u2014 especially when husband Matthew Koma<\/strong><\/a> makes the quips.<\/p>\n Koma, 36, took to TikTok<\/a> on Friday, August 18, to poke fun at his wife. \u201cHey, so I\u2019ve been living in the eye of Hurricane Hilary for a couple years now, and I just wanted to hop on here and show you guys what it\u2019s like,\u201d he said. Duff, 35, simply glared at Koma (who she married in 2019<\/a>) as he brought her into frame.<\/p>\n Molly Bernard<\/strong><\/a>, Duff\u2019s pal and former Younger<\/em><\/a> costar, took to Instagram on Saturday, August 19, to suggest that Hurricane Hilary should be Duff\u2019s nickname in the kitchen. \u201cHurricane @hilaryduff made this crispy rice and spicy tuna and now has the key to my heart,\u201d Bernard, 35, wrote.<\/p>\n Prior to her husband\u2019s quip, the How I Met Your Father<\/em> star took to her Instagram Story to assure followers that she\u2019s seen all the jokes, especially the ones that reference her 2003 single, \u201cCome Clean\u201d (in which she sings, \u201clet the rain fall down\u201d).<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve gotten so many texts, it\u2019s like my birthday,\u201d she wrote alongside a meme with a screenshot of her \u201cCome Clean\u201d music video. \u201cThey couldn\u2019t have gone with two Ls?\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the memes, Hurricane Hilary, which has been downgraded to a tropical storm, is expected to be a serious event, with the National Hurricane Center warning of \u201ccatastrophic and life-threatening flooding.\u201d Hilary has already brought rain to California but the conditions are expected to become more intense throughout Sunday, August 20.<\/p>\n Koma shared a shot of his and Duff\u2019s daughters, Banks, 4, and Mae,<\/a> 2, smiling in their rain boots on Sunday morning while conditions were still safe. (Duff also shares son Luca, 11, with ex-husband Mike Comrie<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n The little girls have heard their mother\u2019s song \u201cCome Clean.\u201d In fact, they demand to listen to old school Hilary Duff music in the car.<\/p>\n \u201cSomeone played my daughter my old teeny bopper music, and now I have to bump it in my car at full volume,\u201d she said during a February 2022 appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden<\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019ve expired [Encanto<\/em>\u2018s \u201cWe Don\u2019t Talk About Bruno\u201d]. In a July TikTok<\/a>, Koma, revealed his wife\u2019s \u201cbeige flag\u201d is \u201cfalling asleep 8 minutes after a movie starts on a Saturday night even though she sang a song about waking up on a Saturday night.\u201d The short clip featured Duff sleeping on the couch while her hit 2005 song \u201cWake Up\u201d played.<\/p>\n
