Sarah Hyland<\/strong> <\/a>stood her ground after\u00a0Love Island USA\u00a0<\/i><\/a>contestant Mike Stark <\/strong>accused the host of being \u201cmad disrespectful.\u201d<\/p>\n Sarah, 32, appeared on the Friday, August 18, episode<\/a> of the dating show to reveal the results of the latest elimination ceremony. After the\u00a0Modern Family\u00a0<\/i><\/a>alum revealed that Keenan Anunay<\/strong> had gotten the fewest votes, he was ordered to leave the Fiji villa.<\/p>\n Keenan\u2019s partner, Vickala \u201cKay Kay\u201d Gray<\/strong>, swiftly proclaimed that she wanted to depart the show<\/a> alongside him in a stunning show twist.<\/p>\n \u201cBefore you go anywhere, I just want to make sure that you are absolutely happy with your decision,\u201d Sarah asked the 25-year-old who, in turn, said that she had no regrets and found the connection she had been seeking.<\/p>\n Mike, 22, then inserted himself into the conversation, calling out Sarah\u2019s intonation<\/a> and claiming that her phrasing \u201csounded mad disrespectful.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m being disrespectful?\u201d Sarah responded as the other islanders silently expressed their shock. \u201cOK, then.\u201d<\/p>\n Fellow contestant Leonardo Dionicio<\/strong> leaned over to Sarah and whispered, \u201cI apologize for his reaction, I think it\u2019s just the heat of the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n Sarah succinctly replied to the group, \u201cBoys will be boys.\u201d<\/p>\n Ahead of Friday\u2019s episode, Sarah teased the drama on her Instagram Story. \u201cWhen I tell you that tonight\u2019s episode was wild. It was absolutely wild,\u201d the actress \u2014 who is married to Bachelor Nation\u2019s Wells Adams<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 said in the social media upload. \u201cI thought New York Sarah was gonna come out, but I kept it [professional].\u201d<\/p>\n Several hours earlier, Sarah had quipped via Instagram<\/a> that her appearance would have its fair share of drama. \u201cTonight. There Will be Blood,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n Sarah took over as the host of the U.S. version<\/a> of\u00a0Love Island\u00a0<\/i>from Arielle Vandenberg<\/strong> <\/a>during season 4, when the show moved from CBS to Peacock.<\/p>\n \u201cOh my gosh, it\u2019s so fun,\u201d Sarah previously gushed of her broadcasting duties during a July 2022 appearance on\u00a0The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/i><\/a>. \u201cSo, they just called me up, you know, the good ole Peacock,\u00a0and asked me [to host] and I said, \u2018Yes, thank you so much, Peacock.\u2019 I love reality dating shows \u2026 and we have 10 very, very, very sexy human beings on this show.
