\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Danielle Jonas<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her struggles with eczema. <\/p>\n In an interview with Insider <\/a><\/em>published on Thursday (August 17), the 36-year-old jewelry designer shared that when she first noticed signs of moderate eczema on her scalp, it dramatically affected her self-esteem. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out what she said\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy hair was my identity,\u201d she said. \u201cBeing uncomfortable, it just made me feel like I didn\u2019t wanna go out and I didn\u2019t wanna do things that I normally did. I didn\u2019t go on tour as much with [her husband] Kevin [Jonas]<\/strong><\/a>. People even asked where was I.\u201d<\/p>\n Danielle<\/strong>, who is currently promoting her partnerships with the pharmaceutical companies Sanofi and Regeneron, recalled feeling \u201cuncomfortable\u201d with herself due to the condition. As a result, she was more reluctant to attend public events. <\/p>\n She went on to say that the situation even impacted how she interacted with her two daughters, 9-year-old Alena Rose <\/strong>and 6-year-old Angelina<\/strong>. Kevin<\/strong>, who was present for the interview, said that she was forced to ask her children to refrain from playing with her hair because even moving it was uncomfortable. <\/p>\n Danielle <\/strong>also avoided hugs from people because if her hair was touched \u201cshe would literally <\/strong>feel the stress of that.\u201d<\/p>\n She shared that Dupixent, a treatment for people with moderate-to-severe eczema, was a big help.<\/p>\n \u201cI started using it and within a couple of weeks or a month, whatever it was, I came down to Kevin <\/strong>and I said to him, \u2018I finally took a shower with less discomfort.
