Yadira Colito, 55, was reportedly killed at a Toyota dealership in San Fernando Valley, California earlier this month while waiting for her car to be serviced, after an elderly woman accidentally drove into a customer reception <\/p>\n
Megan Maybee, the Hamer Toyota dealership’s director of communications, told Us Weekly in a statement: “We extend our deepest condolences to Yadira\u2019s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of such a vibrant life in such tragic circumstances is a heavy burden to bear, and we share in their grief.\u201d<\/p>\n
TMZ previously reported that an 84-year-old woman drove her white Toyota RAV4 into the covered service bay driveway, with authorities at the scene apparently saying the driver mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake. <\/p>\n
Yadira was reportedly \u201cpinned under the SUV and dragged for about 20 feet\u201d before bystanders came together to help free her from under the car. <\/p>\n
\nShe was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where she was later pronounced dead. <\/p>\n
\nTwo others were also injured in the crash, but are expected to make full recoveries. <\/p>\n
\nThe driver has not been arrested. <\/p>\n
\nYadira was a nanny for 39-year-old Katharine and 73-year-old David’s son Rennie, two.<\/p>\n
\nFollowing the incident, Katherine announced she had to rush home from her and her husband\u2019s tour in Asia due to \u201ca horrible tragedy\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nShe told her Instagram followers: \u201cDearest Jakarta fans, it\u2019s with heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cDavid and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us need to get back home to our family. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cPlease know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love Katharine.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nDavid was still able to take the stage for the final two shows on their tour, and shortly after Katherine\u2019 post it emerged the tragedy she was referring to was the death of their nanny. <\/p>\n
\nKatherine and David married the knot in 2019 before having Rennie in 2021. <\/p>\n
\nDavid is also the father of daughters Allison, 52, Amy, 49, Sara, 41, Erin, 40, and Jordan, 36, from previous relationships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
