Jo\u00e3o Franco<\/strong>\u2018s surprise appearance on season 2 of Below Deck Down Under<\/em><\/a> wasn\u2019t exactly smooth sailing due to his past issues with Aesha Scott<\/strong> and Tzarina Mace Ralph<\/strong>.<\/p>\n During back-to-back episodes on Monday, August 14, Jo\u00e3o reunited with Aesha after viewers previously watched their drama unfold on Below Deck Mediterranean<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s the worst,\u201d Aesha said in a confessional before addressing her issues directly with Jo\u00e3o. \u201cI think we both know we didn\u2019t end on great terms last time we worked together. But I think we should just leave it in the past. We are both heads of department so I think we\u2019ll just [start over].\u201d<\/p>\n Jo\u00e3o, for his part, admitted he wasn\u2019t always the best version of himself<\/a> while filming the hit Bravo series.<\/p>\n \u201cAesha and I have exchanged words to say the least. Take me back to five years ago. You\u2019d hate me,\u201d he reflected. \u201cJezebob is my alter-ego [when I am drunk]. It\u2019s a God-forsaken dude that just kept f\u2014king my relationships up with everyone. But Jezebob\u2019s not around anymore. With Aesha, I think we both deserve each other\u2019s second chances.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in the episode, Aesha referred to Jo\u00e3o as \u201cextremely manipulative,\u201d<\/a> adding, \u201cHe\u2019s disrespectful and extremely judgmental. He\u2019s a f\u2014king c\u2014t at heart.\u201d<\/p>\n Jo\u00e3o and Aesha previously struggled while filming season 4 of the Below Deck<\/em> spinoff series<\/a>. The former bosun\u2019s judgmental commentary about Aesha\u2019s attire and behavior ultimately led to her blocking him on social media once cameras stopped rolling.<\/p>\n \u201cI noticed when he was last on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em> when he mentioned like, \u2018Oh, I don\u2019t understand why Aesha [and Hannah Ferrier<\/strong><\/a>] blocked me. We left such good friends,’\u201d Aesha said during her own WWHL<\/em> appearance in September 2019. \u201cThe reality is he bullied me every single day onboard. He never stopped judging me and criticizing me. When we left, you\u2019ll notice on the last episode tonight, I didn\u2019t even hug him goodbye. I was so sick of him treating me like crap. So I don\u2019t know where he gets this from that we left such good friends.\u201d<\/p>\n Jo\u00e3o\u2019s history with Aesha isn\u2019t the only rift he had to address when coming on board. Tzarina surprised her coworkers when she revealed her own issues<\/a> with Jo\u00e3o.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was with one of my best mates and he f\u2014ked her over,\u201d she explained. \u201cHe\u2019s definitely a guy\u2019s guy and a womanizer. I also said if I saw him again that I will punch him in the face for her.\u201d<\/p>\n The chef continued: \u201cI know Jo\u00e3o from mutual friends in Parma. Then also the fact that he dated one of my best friends and I was hooking up with one of his best friends two years ago. Jo\u00e3o just really f\u2014ked over my friend big time. Lying, deceit and totally messing around. It\u2019s going to make it really awkward this season on the boat.\u201d<\/p>\n After Tzarina\u2019s friend told her to make it through the charter season with Jo\u00e3o, Aesha started to question the duo\u2019s unexpected friendship. Tzarina, meanwhile, was surprised when Aesha accused her of being \u201call over\u201d Jo\u00e3o.<\/p>\n \u201cYou don\u2019t see everything that goes on. I\u2019ve seen a totally different side of him,\u201d Tzarina noted. \u201cYou think I am going to sleep with him? No, he\u2019s like a bro! I\u2019m trying to bring him into the group. I\u2019m trying to make him feel comfortable. I hope I am going [above and beyond].\u201d<\/p>\n During a confessional, Tzarina clarified where she stands with Jo\u00e3o<\/a>, saying, \u201cI am not going to sleep with Jo\u00e3o. I know she\u2019s trying to protect me and she has very good reasons why. But I\u2019m smarter than that.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to his past feuds, Jo\u00e3o also ended up not bonding immediately with deckhands Culver Bradbury, Harry Van Vliet <\/strong>and Adam Kodra<\/strong><\/a>.
