Riley Keough<\/strong><\/a> revealed the name of her daughter<\/a> one year after she and \u200bhusband Ben Smith-Petersen<\/strong><\/a> welcomed the little one via surrogate<\/a> and it pays a sweet tribute to her rock legend grandfather, Elvis. Everyone, say hi to baby girl Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen!<\/p>\n

The Daisy Jones and the Six<\/em><\/a> actress, 34, named her daughter after the late King of \u200bRock \u2018N\u2019 Roll\u2019s birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny because we picked her name before the Elvis movie,\u201d she revealed in an August interview. \u201cI was like, \u2018This is great because it\u2019s not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family \u2014 it\u2019s not like Memphis or something. \u200bThen when the Elvis movie came out, it was like, Tupelo this and Tupelo that. I was like, \u2018Oh, no.\u2019 But it\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to honoring Elvis in her daughter\u2019s name, she also paid homage to her brother, Benjamin Storm Keough, by giving the little one his middle name.<\/p>\n

Benjamin died by suicide in 2020. Riley\u2019s mother, Lisa Marie Presley, died<\/a> three years later after suffering cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n

Riley \u200blives with Lyme disease and she is still in the process of going through a holistic healing journey in Switzerland. That being said, she chose to welcome a baby via surrogacy to ensure everyone\u2019s health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s a very cool, selfless, and incredible act that these women do to help other people. I can carry children, but it felt like the best choice for what I had going on physically with the autoimmune stuff,\u201d Riley continued.<\/p>\n

Riley and Ben, 32, keep their daughter out of the public eye, but she shared that Tupelo looks like someone \u201cshrunk\u201d her husband and put him in the form of an infant. However, she got her momma\u2019s genes in there and has her curly hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the thing in my life so far that I have really wanted to, quote-unquote, get right. I don\u2019t think you ever can be a perfect parent, but I would like to be the best mom for her that I can be,\u201d Riley explained. \u201cThat\u2019s \u2026 very important to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Riley and Ben met on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road<\/em> in 2012, but didn\u2019t pursue a romantic relationship until they stopped filming. Once they did decide to give love a shot, their connection quickly progressed as they started living together two months later and got engaged after dating for six months.<\/p>\n

The Zola<\/em> starlet can\u2019t help but gush over her actor and stuntman hubby in interviews and has previously admitted she knew Ben was \u201cthe One\u201d all along.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see the future, but I know certain things are going to happen,\u201d she shared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em> in March 2023. \u201cLike when I met my husband, he came out of the gas station on our second date and I thought, \u2018I\u2019m going to marry him and have kids with him.\u2019 I just knew. We didn\u2019t even say \u2018I love you\u2019 yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
