The martial artist Facebook founder, 39, hit out as hype continued to grow he and Elon, 52, could face off in Rome\u2019s Colosseum after the Tesla boss challenged Mark in June to an Octagon battle.<\/p>\n
Mark posted on his Threads platform, created to rival the Elon-owned Twitter, which he has renamed X: \u201cI think we can all agree Elon isn\u2019t serious and it\u2019s time to move on.<\/p>\n
\u201cElon won\u2019t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. <\/p>\n
\u201cIf Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cOtherwise, time to move on. I\u2019m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHours before the rant, Mark also posted on Threads: \u201cI love this sport [UFC] and I\u2019ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf he ever agrees on an actual date, you\u2019ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nElon had tweeted on Friday (11.08.23) morning his clash with Mark would be hosted in Rome\u2019s Colosseum.<\/p>\n
\nLas Vegas was originally pitched as the potential location for the fight of the tech billionaires.<\/p>\n
\nTMZ has reported Mark was approached by the Italian Minister of Culture over staging his showdown with Elon at Rome\u2019s ancient gladiatorial arena.<\/p>\n
\nIn July, Mark earned a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after accepting Elon\u2019s cage fight challenge.<\/p>\n
\nHe took to his Instagram to announce his progress in the martial art and <\/p>\n
\ncaptioned a photo that showed him wearing his new belt alongside his 46-year-old coach Dave Camarillo: \u201cCongrats @davecamarillo on your 5th degree black belt. Honoured to be promoted to compete at blue belt for Guerrilla San Jose team.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou\u2019re a great coach and I\u2019ve learned so much about fighting and life from training with you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDave also thanked Mark, saying he was \u201cabsolutely honoured\u201d to have been supported by the tech titan.<\/p>\n
\nThe fight expert added: \u201cThank you for your support and your amazing display of discipline!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nElon had tweeted on 20 June bragging he was \u201cup for a cage match if (Mark) is\u201d, prompting his Facebook CEO rival to reply on Instagram by telling Elon to \u201csend me the location\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
