Katharine McPhee<\/strong><\/a> and David Foster<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s 2-year-old son Rennie\u2019s nanny has died, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n The news comes after McPhee, 39, revealed via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, August 11, that she would be missing the final two shows<\/a> of her and Foster\u2019s Asia tour. \u201cDavid and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family,\u201d the singer explained.<\/p>\n She continued: \u201cPlease know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love, Katharine.\u201d<\/p>\n TMZ<\/a> later reported on Friday, August 11, that the couple considered their nanny, whose name has not been specified, a member of the family. No additional information surrounding the woman\u2019s death has been revealed.<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to the couple\u2019s reps for comment.<\/p>\n The couple \u2014 who tied the knot in 2019<\/a> \u2014 have been traveling on their David Foster & Friends<\/em> tour over the course of the summer. The first of their final Asia shows was scheduled for Saturday, August 12, in Jakarta, Indonesia. No word on how the family\u2019s tragic news will affect upcoming performance dates has been announced.<\/p>\n Several celebrities and fans took to the comments section of McPhee\u2019s post to offer their condolences. \u201cSending my love and prayers for your family \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffd\u2764\ufe0f,\u201d wrote Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong><\/a>.
