After starring in the \u201cMean\u201d music video<\/span><\/a> in 2010, <\/span>Joey King<\/b><\/a> reunited with <\/span>Taylor Swift<\/b><\/a> to appear in the \u201cI Can See You\u201d music video over a decade later. \u201cIt was amazing,\u201d Joey exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> about the reunion in a video interview.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was so great to come back to do another video for Taylor since I did the \u2018Mean\u2019 music video all those years ago and I was just a little, little tiny thing,\u201d Joey, 24, says while promoting her partnership with Hill\u2019s Pet Nutrition. \u201cSo being able to be part of the Speak Now (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em> era feels so good.\u201d<\/p>\n The Act<\/em> actress adds that she loves Taylor, 33, \u201cso much\u201d and has enjoyed \u201cwatching her claim her music back and just be the absolute badass and amazing person that she is.\u201d<\/p>\n Speak Now (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/span><\/i><\/a> is the third album Taylor has rerecorded after her catalog was sold in 2019. She announced that her fourth rerecording, <\/span>1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/span><\/i>, will <\/span>be released on October 27<\/span><\/a> during her concert in Los Angeles on August 9.<\/p>\n While Joey was delighted to appear in the music video, which also stars Taylor Lautner<\/strong><\/a>, photos from the set were leaked in April months before the video was released in June. She says that she was \u201chappy to keep the secret\u201d and was disappointed when the photos began to circulate online. However, Joey was determined to not spill any details about what they were filming as speculation stirred online.<\/p>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018Gosh, who leaked those photos?\u2019 I want everyone to be surprised and everyone to experience that,\u201d she explains. However, Joey adds that \u201cit was exciting to have a secret like that\u201d and knew the work they put into the video would \u201cpay off.\u201d<\/p>\n She continues that having the \u201clovely secret close to [her] chest\u201d was special because she knew \u201chow amazing it would be for everybody.\u201d Joey shares, \u201cSo I was just holding onto it. It was like a beautiful little thing in my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n Joey also shares what it was like working with the \u201cKarma\u201d singer, who directed both music videos she appeared in. \u201cIt\u2019s just amazing how she conducts herself on set. And just to watch how she\u2019s changed and grown and how I\u2019ve changed and grown,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful thing. It\u2019s a very cool marker of time to be able to have these two videos, to really show all the time that\u2019s passed and how our relationship has grown, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n The Kissing Booth<\/em><\/a> star also speaks about her partnership with Hill\u2019s Pet Nutrition and their Clear the Shelters 2023 campaign, which spreads awareness about the support needed for animal shelters around the country.<\/p>\n After noting she\u2019s \u201cbeyond happy and honored\u201d to partner with the company, Joey explains that she became involved because \u201canimals have just always been such a huge part of [her] life.\u201d<\/p>\n Joey currently has two dogs<\/a> \u2013 Fable and Jesse James \u2013 that she adopted, so she says the partnership felt like a natural fit. \u201cI\u2019m just so proud to be here with them and to be able to come volunteer today and take some photos of the dogs and just be able to help them with their adoption process<\/a>,\u201d she shares. \u201cEvery pet deserves to have a home.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n![\"Joey](\"https:\/\/www.lifeandstylemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Taylor-Joey.jpg?fit=400%2C400&quality=86&strip=all\")
