Bachelor Nation<\/a>\u2019s Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong><\/a> and Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a> may have ended their engagement<\/a>, but their inner circle isn\u2019t giving up hope that they\u2019ll reunite, an insider tells Life & Style<\/em> exclusively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFriends and family are all for them taking some time apart, but they\u2019d love them to get back together,\u201d the source says, adding, however, that the exes felt \u201cintense pressure\u201d to make their relationship work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cKaitlyn would love to have worked things out with Jason, but I really think any talk of a reconciling is wishful thinking at this point,\u201d the source explains. \u201cBut who knows, couples get back together all the time. I guess time will tell.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The insider\u2019s take comes just three days after Kaitlyn, 38, told a TMZ videographer that she and Jason, 34, were taking things day by day<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tough times,\u201d she admitted on August 8. \u201cI mean, the easiest part is that we respect each other and love each other.\u201d When asked whether she and her ex \u201cgrew out\u201d of each other, Kaitlyn remarked, \u201cI don\u2019t even know. \u2026 Honestly, it was both of our [decision to break up]. We keep saying, too, that the door isn\u2019t permanently closed \u2014 that\u2019s why there\u2019s handles on it. We don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Adding that she and Jason are still linked<\/a> due to their dogs, Ramen and Pinot, the Dancing With the Stars<\/em> alum added, \u201cWe\u2019re still good,\u201d and said that they\u2019ll likely be spotted in the near future \u201cwalking the dogs together on a Sunday.\u201d It seems as though Kaitlyn still is in possession of her engagement ring, too, telling the videographer that she and Jason \u201chaven\u2019t gotten that far to talk about [what she will do with the] ring. But, I mean, he gave that to me. It\u2019s up to him,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The couple\u2019s split came after much fan speculation about their status, as they vacationed without each other and Kaitlyn was seen without her ring on via social media. After issuing a joint statement regarding their decision to break up<\/a>, both Jason and Kaitlyn spoke about how they were feeling on their respective podcasts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not going to provide news at this time given what\u2019s happening in my life,\u201d Jason said on his podcast, \u201cTrading Secrets,\u201d before adding, \u201cIt\u2019s been a little bit of a challenge today and tonight. When I\u2019m prepared and feel ready to talk through how these things also impact my life, what\u2019s next for me, I will share those.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n For her part, Kaitlyn expressed her concern that fans would blame her for the relationship\u2019s end, sharing in the August 8 episode of \u201cOff the Vine\u201d that one side of her felt like her fans \u201chate\u201d her and that she\u2019d \u201close all the support\u201d from them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve gotten to this point where something like going through a breakup \u2014 it\u2019s a loss, it\u2019s grief \u2026 and now these people are on the other end of this phone expecting you to share it with them while you\u2019re going through it,\u201d she said. \u201cThen they think, \u2018You\u2019re hiding something from us, why wouldn\u2019t you be honest?
