And just like that, there might be a new couple in the Sex and the City<\/i><\/a> universe.<\/p>\n Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon<\/strong><\/a>) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis<\/strong><\/a>) played amateur detectives in the Thursday, August 10, episode of And Just Like That <\/i><\/a>as they investigated the romantic status<\/a> of Miranda\u2019s son, Brady (Niall Cunningham<\/strong><\/a>), and Charlotte\u2019s daughter, Lily (Cathy Ang<\/strong>).<\/p>\n After watching Brady flounder during his breakup from Luisa (Cree Cicchino<\/strong>), Miranda wants nothing more than to get her and estranged husband Steve Brady\u2019s (David Eigenberg<\/strong><\/a>) son back on the right track and excited about the prospect of college. Miranda then comes up with an ingenious solution: Get Brady to spend some time with the academically oriented Lily<\/a> to recalibrate.<\/p>\n \u201cHe has slapped me with a gag order on anything college-related,\u201d Miranda lamented to Charlotte on the phone. \u201cAnd Lily\u2019s so driven, I thought maybe if they got together, she\u2019d rub off on him. Osmosis! \u2026 Charlotte, my only child is making French fries for a living. I don\u2019t want his life\u2019s achievement to be mastering the crinkle-cut.\u201d<\/p>\n Charlotte, who recently went back to work<\/a> as an art dealer, explained that she would need to gauge Lily\u2019s interest first and \u201ccouldn\u2019t make any promises.\u201d After Charlotte asked Lily if she\u2019d hang out with Brady, the teen pianist was skeptical since they hadn\u2019t spent much time together in years.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy? We haven\u2019t hung out since that ski trip when I was 12 and he was 14,\u201d Lily reminded her mom before sibling Rock (Alexa Swinton<\/strong>) chimed in that Brady didn\u2019t \u201cleave his sleeping bag the entire trip.\u201d<\/p>\n Lily ultimately agreed to hang out, but Miranda is shocked when she spots the teen walking out of Brady\u2019s bedroom<\/a> in the next scene \u2014 sans pants.<\/p>\n \u201cMorning, Aunt Miranda,\u201d Lily said, startled, while wearing only an oversized \u201cNew York\u201d tank top that seemingly belonged to Brady, before she headed back into the bedroom.<\/p>\n Miranda immediately called Charlotte, who admitted that she knew Lily was spending the night<\/a> \u201cbecause they had a lot to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not sure how much talking they did,\u201d said Miranda, who had moved in with friend Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman<\/strong><\/a>) after her separation from Steve. \u201cI don\u2019t know how to put this, but I\u2019m fairly certain they hooked up. \u2026 When I went over there this morning to shower, there was no sign of couch-sleeping and Lily was coming out of Brady\u2019s bedroom.
