Tuesday night, Ivanka Trump<\/strong>\u00a0continued her endless summer<\/a> by taking her two boys to a Mets game with husband Jared Kushner.<\/strong> Enjoying America\u2019s pastime at Citi Field is a little more humble, a little more \u201cof the people\u201d than recent yacht<\/a> trips with DJ David Guetta<\/strong> or time spent at the nuptials of crown princes of Jordan. It\u2019s not even a chichi Yankees game!\u00a0<\/p>\n Of course, the former top White House nepo baby got to hang out on the field, in the dugout, and in the batting cages<\/a> during warm-ups<\/a> with some favorite players, like shortstop Francisco Lindor<\/strong> and first baseman Pete Alonso.<\/strong> Humility is relative too, maybe. (Possibly unrelated: Steve Cohen,<\/strong> owner of the Mets, is reportedly<\/a> one of Ivanka\u2019s Twitter followers, after all.)<\/p>\n The notable thing, though, is not that the former New Yorkers still love their New York sports. It\u2019s that Ivanka is in the city as her father is facing down a whole mess of legal woes<\/a>. Whether her father was also in the city is unclear; he was just in DC last week to plead not guilty at his arraignment on charges that he conspired to overthrow the election he lost in 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n Besides this case, he also faces federal criminal charges tied to his handling of classified documents as well as a New York indictment for allegedly falsifying business records related to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels<\/strong> (he\u2019s pleaded not guilty on all accounts). Likewise, a federal judge threw<\/a> out his countersuit against E. Jean Carroll<\/strong> this week, after he was found liable for defamation and sexual abuse earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n Ivanka has expressed no interest publicly in supporting another campaign on her dad\u2019s part. And of course she wouldn\u2019t. She simply does not have the time when summer is going this well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
