Guests at Oceana\u2019s SeaChange party probably thought they were seeing double when Reese Witherspoon<\/strong><\/a> and look-alike daughter Ava Phillippe<\/strong> walked the carpet together in matching strapless dresses and beachy blond waves. \u201cPerfect Summer night with my girl!\u201d the Morning Show<\/em><\/a> star, 47, captioned an Instagram pic from the July 22 event.<\/p>\n

Truth is, Reese has been having a lot summer nights out (and in!) with her kids \u2014 Ava, 23, Deacon Phillippe<\/strong><\/a>, 19, and Tennessee Toth, 10 \u2014 since announcing her split from Jim Toth<\/strong><\/a> in March. \u201cReese is still processing the emotions of her divorce \u2014 it\u2019s been a difficult year for her,\u201d a source close to the actress exclusively<\/a> tells Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cBut leaning on her kids is helping.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her older kids (with first husband Ryan Phillippe<\/strong><\/a>) are now adults, and Reese adores seeing them flourish. \u201cShe had them young and is enjoying this phase,\u201d the insider explains. \u201cShe genuinely loves hanging out with them and their friends and partners.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reese and Ava, says the source, \u201care \u2018girly-girls\u2019: They love going to concerts and taking weekend trips. Deacon is pursuing music and Reese loves going to his gigs around town.\u201d<\/p>\n
